Eyes can see but whats behind them matters

I just finished reading Joy's blog and it was great. So true that so people think that boys are better than girls or girls are better than boys as women are better than men and men are better than woman as trains are better than planes and cars are better than buses. I just going to tell a little story about myself not to bore you but relevant to what man kind sees. I come from a family of 5 siblings raised in a very low income family in the 70ties and where torn apart by my fathers death and my mothers apparent alcoholic abuse. Most of our youth we felt like we had to walk with our eyes pointed at our shoes because we could never afford good clothes or shoes, my mother actually stole most of our clothing just to keep us partly civil but still managed to consume the toxic drink. It was not fair for us but so is life but I could see people look at us with a quick glance and then turn the other cheek, so I would look back at them and mumble what makes you so much better than us, is it the materialistic things you see not the human being behind the torn clothes that could someday have a PHD. It was a sad situation for me and my siblings but we learned to deal with it. I still do see the same thing today as the world creates a smoke screen but all in all we still are created equal. Eventually the 5 of us were separated and put into foster homes where we learned to become something the 5 of us never thought we would learn (PRIDE) it was a amazing thing to feel when you realized that we were equal to those humans that use to look down at us that you never judge a book by its cover or a person by there looks or race and authenticity. I hope you enjoyed this and didn't fall asleep .

And a big thanks to WA for starting to make my dream come true that I can be more than I ever thought I could sincerely Marc:)

Thanks Marc for your wonderful story. It's amazing that we have all survived our upbringing. Alcohol is a real brat if it takes hold of you. You are a credit to the human race and stronger than most. I wish you every success and happiness. You deserve the opportunities that weren't available before this. Yvonne
