Update on My Writing

I think the last time I spoke about my writing I was so thrilled that I'd broken the 4,000 word limit in a day. I was ecstatic that I had worked so hard and gotten so much done.

Well, move right on over because I have 2 awesome, amazing, and astounding things to share with you all.

Today my word count is: 5,480. I know! I can't believe it. I don't feel I've worked my fingers to the bone either. I also don't think I've actually written that much. It makes me wonder what time zone the Day Counter is on as it might be picking up stuff I did yesterday. Either that or I really went back and reworded a lot of the blogs I did today.

However, there is an even better goal that I want to share with you. I have a set goal of 175,000 words for the end of the year. February is when I set this goal. I have reached over 50,000 words and it's only may. In 3 months I wrote over 50,000 words. Isn't that insane?

So, I just wanted to share the news with you and let you know that a bit of work can add up to quite the pile over time. Keep on trekking and you'll eventually make it to the top.

Wishing you success and happiness on your journey.

Take care,

Michelle/Anne

This post represents Why I enjoy following you Michelle.

Your excited commitment to what you have set in goals and vision is admirable/encouraging for me.

In respect of focus, I know I've read previously how you go about establishing and monitoring your goals, I have much to gain by mirroring this example.

The future for me in effort is a commitment to working through all the constructive advice that I find from people like yourself who remain driven and moving solidly toward their aspirations...I feel my energies being refined!

Know this, you are a welcome wind to my journey and I am relieved to have your inspiration.

Respect in kind regard, David

Thank you so much! I'm so happy that I'm helping inspire you to reach for your goals and dreams.

Comments like yours make me smile and helps me as well by continuing to push and get it done.

Would it be beneficial to you if I were to create a post with how I break my schedule down throughout the week?

Take care,

Michelle/Anne

Absolutely great idea, Michelle. I can always use this as a source of reference to guideline and it is by this suggestion I'm brought to another key feature in your staying focused:

You, by "Your Update on My Writing, Post", are basically journalling both an intention and a follow-through for us to read. I am convinced that this is key in accomplishing a self-affirmation and perhaps an encouragement to kick your own energy into a higher gear if necessary.

There has been talk in the community of having an "accountability partner" and indirectly you are providing yourself
that sort of opportunity by this journaling.

... I read, I learn, I am grateful for your participation, thank you!

David

Sorry it took some time to get back to you, but I just posted my weekly schedule. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Take care,

Michelle/Anne

That's amazing! Very inspiring, thank you!

I hope I can continue to inspire you and others to push beyond what you think you can do. After all, the only limitation is the one placed by you.

WOW! Congratulations.

Thank you so much!

Congratulations - that's an awful lot of words!

I hope you manage to hit your goal by the end of the year. It's always good to have something to work towards. :)

Yes, indeed. I got my goal by multiplying the amount of posts I wanted (3 per week) by 1,000 and then added a random 40,000 onto the end. I hope you have goals that you are working towards as well. Good luck!

Congrats! It's amazing what you can do when you set goals for yourself and as the saying goes "put the pedal to the metal"...

Yes, indeed. I'm putting my nose to the grindstone and getting it done. Thank you for the support!
