Is there such a thing as a good MLM business opp?

I've been doing a lot of reviews on MLM companies and the so-called business opportunities they provide. One of those companies is the Motor Club of America (MCA), now that I've done the review I notice there are post with pictures of people showing off all the money they supposedly made with MCA.

I know MLM's are all over the online money making scene but in doing research I don't see how that is possible. I've read that only about 1% of people entering an MLM makes any money, so why are they so popular?

Was just curious to know if any of my WA family have ever had positive experience in an MLM company even if you decided that the MLM life is not for you. I know there are a lot of negativity surrounding MLMs and I understand why.

If you have had positive or negative MLM experiences please leave a comment on my post. http://secondtononeaffiliates.com/what-is-an-mlm-program

Thanks in advance

Marlon

90% of the mlm startups dissolve within 1-2 years from my experience and they use hype and persuasion to trick people into joining but never teach people how to get a down line of half a dozen members.

If you really do your research first and have a good feel for the market you choose, then work and determination will help thou succeed...our is a difficult area and full of pitfalls....be cautious

Oh I have no intention of joining one, just curious to see what other WA members think of them.

MLM like all business can work if you are willing to persist in it ,but I would not get involved one one of them
A while ago I came across a website that helps people recover from disasters in MLM
The fact that there are website for MLM emotional recovery sends a big message
The whole real problem with all online business is that most people think that because its online it a magic bullet
Succeeding in any online business is just as hard and a brick and mortar business
But there is so much hype people get carried away
What is important to realize is that the world and its wife are always looking for the easy button and it does not exist

Thanks Barry, I won't not get involved in one either.

If you can successfully start an MLM business and associate with the established crowd, you can make a good buck. But JOINING an MLM system as a pigeon will keep you broke.

I agree...who wants to start an MLM with me ;-)

Not me. My reputation is good and I want to keep it that way. I don't like getting photographed and fingerprinted.

lol

Read about Holton Buggs here: http://organogoldscam.blogspot.com/2009/06/holton-buggs-con-artist.html

Before you take the comment below too seriously, read my blog post:

I have joined several. I personally know one guy, Holton Buggs, who earns more than a million dollars per month. I know to others who earn millions of dollars per year. now these are people that I personally know, people I have had drinks with, had dinner with, partied with... Statistically 95 percent of people fail. I know two other guys moved from company to company getting in earlier and earlier. the earlier you get in, the more people in your downline, and the more money you make. MLM are fun, I love the fraternity like atmosphere. Unless you are starting one, I don't suggest you join one.

I don't know of an MLM opp I'd get involved in and MCA is one of the worst, but far from THE worst

L. Ron Hubbard once said "If you want to get rich, you start a religion". I believe today he would say "Start an MLM". The key is to start one, not join one :)

Thanks, I totally agree.
