1. First Day
Today is a new day for me. Yesterday we moved out of our apartment and are now staying in an airbnb, we will be hopping around until we sell our place so we can travel the world. Today I woke up surrounded by orchards, a little slice of heaven on earth and I realised, this is real! We have sold most of our stuff, we just have to sell our home and car and then we can go. My biggest fear is not experience a life of travel and showing my son this amazing world, my second biggest fear is coming away from the travels without a cent to my name, wishing I had done more to monetise our trip.
I have been struggling and trying to make a living online for years so I never have to go back to a J O B. I have a mlm business but i recently stopped building it as it doesn't feel authentic to me, I hate chasing people down and I don't care what my "team" says, it alienates people. I've watched it happen, and I am ready to try something different.
So, step in Wealthy Affiliate! I've had a website for a year but didn't understand online marketing, and have made no money on it. I also starting building a travel website but the theme I installed (external to WA) is so complicated, everything about it is going over my head, and I thought I was okay at this.... so now I am stuck with how to proceed.
I was also recently was introduced to niche sites, but my understanding of them was they are very narrow and different to their concept as taught in WA.
It's left me confused, I have been planning to start a website around our travels and monetise that, could that be my niche? I have some other narrower ideas, and some that are more broad. As I go through the trainings I am learning so much, and it is exciting. I love this community! I wake up at night thinking about it, and my ideas. I am also finding myself second guessing my niche ideas and wondering, do I have what it takes? I can't seem to take the plunge and register a domain. My overanalysis and fear seems to be getting in my way.
This is why I am blogging, I read a comment on someone else's page to document their journey here,and I figured it would help keep me accountable and make progress. I am so grateful for the support this community has already given me and I am so excited for the future, and hope I can support others, maybe one day I will be one of those success stories!

Hey there :) Believe in yourself, and you WILL be one of the success stories!! The traveling sounds so interesting! That would be a good niche, and you can make money with that using travel affiliate sites, and still make your blog your personal journey with traveling! Would look forward to reading that :)

Hi Mala,I am fairly new here myself and i can relate to the registering a domain name as it pulled me up to and i procrastinated for a couple of days..my understanding is its not as important as you might first think great if it contains a keyword and go for .com aside from that its Content,quality content.keyword content.

You are certainly on the right track Malak here at WA. You already write well and have a passion to travel. Develop a website about your travels as a family that gets followers and then learn how to monetize it without feeling that you have become a salesperson.
