Microsoft bing rewards - From Chrome to Edge
We all mostly focus on Google, when searching for something or when working on our website to be ranked. We "google" things.
I just recently decided to change my default search engine to Bing for several reasons.
The reason I post this blog is just give you guys a short info about Bing and Microsoft and how it can be harnessed for things we do here.
- I had my websites indexed there too - which I suggest to you all - because Bing has been gaining up on Google.
- If you register your website the first time with Bing, you will get £75 or $100 worth of PPC you can use.
- Because I like their reward system. You search, you earn points, and you can redeem them for different type of cool goods and services. I like that sort of things

- I also switched from Chrome to Edge as default browser, which has a few really cool features, like making web notes - that I really love when I see or read something and get idea from on a website or post. Powerful stuff. https://support.microsoft.com/...
Of course I have not stopped using Chrome or Google search, but I use Edge and Bing first for everything. So far I am liking what they have done and I can see a lot of improvements on both the browser and search engine.
An interesting website from Bing is bingiton.com where you can use both search engines at once to test them. But it only shows the first page results. It also helps them to improve.
That's it for today. Cheers!

Good info. I'll have to go back and check out Bing. Last time I was there was a couple of years ago. I didn't like it so much. For sure I will register my site there.
Thanks
It's much better now. And with their different kind of incentives they want to make it busier. And yes it's good to at least register the websites so they will be indexed on Bing.
Thank you for your great blog post Andy, I always used to use Internet Explorer, but at the time I was using Windows XP and Windows Explorer was more or less impossible to use, so I switched to Google Chrome. I like the idea of using Bing and Microsoft Edge more as I feel it is very good for Google to have competition. The free voucher for advertising on Bing, sounds like a good idea too, as I'm currently using Google AdWords. I am going to give Bing a try!
Enjoy your weekend Andy, Roy.
Same to you, Roy. And yes Google needs a competition. MS is trying hard and even if Bing won't become better, it is still a pretty well designed SE. I like the way it shows the image results.
Thanks for the post Magus,Interesting read, hadn't really given it much thought but certainly worth considering.
Cheers,Matt.
