Google is in trouble Part 3
Following up on my previous blogs https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co... and https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co... here is the latest info that - with facts and investigation, public announcements, etc. - came to light.
Not many people ever thought that Google can get in a situation like this but after nearly a decade of investigation the Big Guy is getting a ride on the legal roller coaster.
The European Commission, led by Margrethe Vestager, didn't only fine the giant with a nearly $3 billion and cornering it to change its behavior, they now promoting and encouraging companies and websites to sue Google for losses the tech phenomenon caused by meddling with the search results.
"It is the first legal ruling globally to assert that Google has a dominant market position, and that it has abused this. Over coming months, the commission is expected to publish a redacted version of its report, shorn of commercially sensitive information, which could then be cited in civil claims."
"“It is for everyone who feels they have been hurt by the illegal Google
behaviour to take this report and use in court as part of their
evidence,”" said Vestager.
She and the Commission is after the "Internet Dictator" big time.
"“The decision that Google is dominant gives us another starting point to look at other verticals, be it images, maps and local [advertising]. These would be specific cases,” said Vestager. Formal investigations into Google’s Android mobile phone platform and its online advertising business are a “high priority”, she added."
Hundreds of firms are preparing to go after the giant now that they have a powerful list of evidence and conviction against Google they can use.
Google has been cornered which some never thought would happen but as every great empire in history, political or digital at one point they fall.
Brendan Eich one of the founders of the "modern Internet" who wrote JavaScript and "created and built Mozzilla Firefox" said that "The internet, he said, has degenerated into a “baffling ordeal” of pop-up windows, sneaky tracking software and a relentless stream of unwanted ads. In this digital cacophony, Google — the $633bn (£488bn) empire at the heart of it all — is conductor-in-chief."
Eich is planning to take down Google by creating a new more impartial search engine, called Brave and while it may seem impossible he has got supporters almost immediately. "Taking on Google may seem a futile crusade, yet it took Eich just 24 seconds to raise the $36m to fund his plans, using the digital currency Ether. Even if his project flops, the software tycoon is not alone in looking to tame Google’s power."
There are much more to this story and you can search for it but obviously I don't recommend to "Google it" as the news and facts may be suppressed on Google search results. Use Bing or Yahoo if you want to find more details on this.
Doesn't matter what angle you are looking at it from, every dictators and empires with uncontrolled and unlimited power will eventually fall. No exceptions.

Share your thoughts if you will. I hope Kyle and Carson are up to date on all this because we might need a couple of new search engine tools eventually.
Cheers from Barcelona!

WOW Is that perhaps the problem with not selling a service (the search engine,) and then having to monetise it to pay costs?
If we paid for each search we did on Google in exchange for it being "Ad-Free," would Google survive?
Ad search is not the problem really. Bing does it too. It's the "generic" search that they meddle with instead of letting the algorithm we know take it's "natural" course.
Holy Moly Magus!! That is some interesting stuff right there!! Thanks again for sharing that! Wow, if only I was some big business and could get a chunk out of Google! I'd be living life! Lol!! Have a great day!!
Best Wishes!

Hehe the truth is, by theory everyone can sue Google right now and they are kinda suffocating, based on that info. So if you have a lawyer get in line for some class action suit you might get a piece of that pie lol
My hope is, that Google will remake their system so it will be fair. Or more fair. I know from many different sources that right now there is no such thing as "generic" search results. It all have been tampered with. We, Internet marketers need a cleaner search engine concept.
I couldn't agree more!! And I just started in this business a month ago. What does that tell you?! I mean c'mon now, for real!
I can only say, keep it going. See the #1 rules in everything to succeed is start doing it and keep doing it. :)

I'm using DuckDuckGo for my search right now. I intend to post a list of alternative search engines in the coming days. Yeah, there are quite a few surprisingly.
Yes. Google needs competition.
