In this video, I'm gonna reveal what exactly is search intent and why you should pay attention to it when it comes to your keyword research and your content coming right up.
So what exactly is search intent?
Well, search intent involves someone looking for something, basically a solution to a problem.
Now, that problem doesn't have to be a negative problem, but the search and the solution needs to have intent.
So let me show you exactly what I mean. Here I am inside of Google, so if I search the term Adobe Premier Pro, okay, I'll just do that.
If someone's looking for Adobe Premier Pro, which is video editing software, I.
Chances are they want to know, maybe they want to [00:01:00] buy it or they want to just learn more about the company and something like that. So there isn't much search intent when it comes to just the product name or something like a physical place or something like that. At least when it comes to you and I.
Creating content. What we wanna focus on is the search intent to solve problems.
Okay, so let's go back to
Google and let's add the word how to and here. Crop video in Premier Pro
So here I am searching a solution to my problem, which is I wanna learn how to crop video inside the software. This is search intent.
Now, if I have an article that says. Learn how to crop video and Premiere Pro in a few steps. I have solved the search intent, and that's exactly what search intent is when it [00:02:00] comes to keyword research and your content.
So the important thing about this is to make sure when you're doing your keyword research, always look for keywords that have a search intent.
And you can create content to solve that search intent. So let's do one more.
So if I, again, if I do Adobe Premier Pro, and now I'm gonna do a little alphabet soup. So I'm gonna zoom in so you could see a bit better. And I'm gonna go how to, and then I'm gonna use the word in and I'm gonna just start to, ah, there we go.
How to add transitions in Adobe Premier Pro. That's perfect. Now, if you even look at the search results,
you can see that there's all sorts of videos. Solving that search intent, showing me how to add transitions inside of Premier Pro.
So when you do your keyword research, make [00:03:00] sure you use words such as how, where, what the W five, who, what, where, when, why?
Because those are naturally easy ways to find keywords that will end up solving search intent. There you go folks. Thanks for watching. Get to work.
