Hello! I have a question.
My website - Your Basic Bible is 9 months old, yet only gets about 5 views a day... I was wondering, at the end of every article I posted a litt
There have been many news reports - not by CNN/NBC/CBS, though - that have mentioned that Google, Facebook and some other social media have been suppressing talk of religion or some political comments that they do not agree with.
This could be the case or it is simply the lack of appropriate keywords/phrases that attract readers.
Do go to your Google analytics page and make a study of what it is telling you.
If you would like to send me your URL (by PM) and the keywords you are using, I would like to take and look and give you a better answer!
Google knows that up to 25 percent or so of the content in every post (in average) is a duplicate text, so they know how to deal with this and have learned to ignore such things. They rather look for what is new and what adds value.Those are statements from Google's people directly.
So what you describe cannot possibly be the reason for eventual bad ranking or/and lack of traffic.
Most likely the reasons are:
-too high competition
-too low traffic for the targeted keywords, if any
-combination of both.

Smart move by offering a link rather than continuing to copy & paste "How to Get Saved" ... and yes, Google MIGHT have seen it that way, but they won't reveal proof-positive.
Should that be the reason your site has not ranked, then yes, moving the information yet making it available using a link would certainly help improve your rank while still offering your visitors useful information.

Your site is already in the 9th month and I assume you have a lot of articles. Of all your articles how many have been indexed by Google? That maybe important as your basis in your site revamp. You may even consider to change the identity of your site.

I logged into my google account and then pasted all of the links to my posts into the "add your ULR" page. Google indexed them within 24 hours. Have you tried that?

I have no idea how to do that, but it sounds great and I would love to. Haha
Just type the title of your article and search on Google. After you have typed the title, at the end you should see "Google search" no other additions. If your article appears meaning it has been indexed but if it does not appear in page 1, 2, 3, etc. it did not.

I would say no. I use almost the same intro and ending for all of my posts: Hi, guys! Today I am going to talk about... & That's all on ..., if you have any questions share them with me below in the comment section.
Yet, I believe that over 90% of my posts and pages are ranked on the front page of Google.
Maybe you've chosen a way too competitive keyword. Or a keyword which is not frequently searched.

Here is my question that I would love some feedback on.
I started a new website several days ago, and I've heard that Google really likes consistency. I know that AFTER
Consistency is great for building a strong foundation of content. One post per day after one year is 365 posts. One post per week for the same time period is only 50. More posts = more chance for ranking.
However, "consistency" as a ranking factor is debated. It can't hurt though!
I always write consistently. Personally, I think it helps my site to be consistent, but there are many folks that say the opposite of me, and that you can achieve the same effect with less content, but more time linking.
I always go with the more content = better ranking strategy.

I would suggest that you write and add content to your website on a consistent basis
that would be adding posts every week .....say 2-3 posts approx

It looks like you got the answer you needed; Loading the pipeline with as many posts/pages as you can and schedule them to be published every day or two. That way, when you can only write two days a week, you will almost catch up!
You could write every day if you have the chance but schedule your posts to be published twice a week. There might be times when you have a lot of posts stored for the upcoming weeks, but there might also be times when you have run out of posts. Consistency is a key factor.
Yesss, that's what I decided on. I really appreciate the input. You guys are the best :)

Hi, I think two articles a week should be more than good enough. I myself will be lucky if I get one per week done but as long the momentum and consistency is kept up it should be ok. I guess it's just a case of fitting writing in around other commitments.

You can schedule your posts.
instead of publishing straight away, press the button to the left and select the date you want it to go live.
you can schedule 2 per week for however long you want.

That's cool! I was saving them in the site content, but there you can't add your images and see the final product. I totally forgot you could do this!
I was leaning towards just doing at two a week to start out with being completely consistent, so yes this does help. Very nice, thank you for the input!

As Rich points out, you can control various aspects of the AdSense content, either from your Google AdSense account, or by going back to the information you used to set up that account to change the types of ads.
