I had a great deal of trouble concentrating on the Lessons and working on my website today. My only excuse is that it is Monday and the weather outside is dreary. Anyway, I have been working almost feverishly on my website the last 2 weeks especially, interspersing some WA lessons here and there. So far, I have created 12 pages for my Website on raising and training dogs to the best that they can be. I have spent my life with animals, but dogs especially. Picking this Niche seemed to be where I should be headed. On those 12 created pages, I have filled 10 of them with content and photos. I look forward to showing my website to you all but for now, I am saving the content in Draft form. I made some really drastic changes to the website recently so I am glad that I kept it in Draft.

My Husband is my' co creative editor', meaning he looks at my work, when I ask him to, and gives me his perspective. He has no knowledge of building a website but he looks at it from the point of view of a internet surfer. I had chosen a black background theme, which he had helped me pick. When I customized my pages with 3 columns and asked him to read it, he couldn't read all of it in one sitting. Why? My husband is not a strong reader, he admitted he found it tiring to scroll up and down along those columns on the dark pages. I realized that he was right, other readers were most likely going to have the same feeling about it.

My solution was to put borders around all the content, then I changed the colour INSIDE the borders to white and changed the text colour to black (instead of white) . The Theme was left the same black colour but now the content sections were all on white sections. I then proceeded to use some colour for headlines and sub headlines in the content. The result was eye catching. I then finished by un doing the 3 columns to the default 1 column. This resulted in having to change the image positions and paragraphs etc. but the end result was fabulous! It is so much easier to read now too :) Once I finish the last 2 pages, I will push the Publish buttons and move on to getting Affiliate links and banners. I feel like I am running a race!
