Help! I'm Stuck in a Quandary and Can't Get Out!!!

Ok, so I'm in a quandary. I was so excited and "gung-ho" when I first arrived at this site. Then I encountered a series of difficulties involving my internet going out a couple of times, work schedules encroaching, as well as some of my personal hobbies/interests/aspirations getting more attention. I really tried to get back into the groove, but I must admit that writing content is one of my greater difficulties. The niche I chose is one that I really like, but there is SOO much information to cover... I am wondering if I should just toughen up and carry on, or if I should start a new site and niche that may be a little less overwhelming to start? Like I said, I like my present one...in theory:) It's about making chocolate confections. There is lot's of room to study and expand so it's good, I think, in the long term. Unfortunately it also takes a lot of study.. and kitchen work. Both things that I haven't a lot of spare time for. If I did choose to switch up, I would still continue to work on that one as well. I think so anyway! It would just be understood that it would go slower and take longer. I just don't want to totally give up or let it this venture go so long that I never accomplish it. I really want to make this work, even if I have to start over. I'm really not too far, either. Course 2, lesson 4. I have a lot of interests, but I'm really not an aficionado in any of them. Would it be advisable just to do the affiliate boot camp at this juncture? Or pick another interest of mine? I would love to hear any comments or suggestions any of you may have for me!!!

Building a website that is from a passion of yours can be a daunting task at best! You've got some good advice below. With your time being the challenge, just set aside an hour a day, if you can. Write down any thoughts that come into your mind about your niche. I mean anything! From there, you can build content. Don't fret about it, it's natural to be overwhelmed in the beginning! Just take it one day at a time my friend. Everything will come together as you go through the courses. :-)

I'm glad to hear that it's daunting at times for others, too, as silly as that may sound! I like your idea about writing thoughts down. I think that will help! Thanks for your input and encouragement!

Hi firstly writing about a certain topic sometimes involves a lot of writing - posts and /or pages. Unless you're setting up a website to promote WA, when you blog about a subject, you need to keep writing or improving on it. If you're really interested in chocolate confections, then write, even if you're not completely done, you can set up your website, publish it, make sure that you've got a few posts, so readers can start visiting your site. Then go back to it and keep writing. You'll know when it's time to stop writing, It's all up to you. Make sure you have enough knowledge on the subject.

Thank you, I need to bear in mind that my posts can be improved and refined later!! I think I have enough knowledge to start with and I suppose any subject I choose will take study at some time. The greatest dubiety with this topic is the kitchen time that goes with it. Thank you for your help!

It's really up to you what you want to do. If you start a new site I would just warn against jumping from site to site to site. It's easy to get stuck doing that and have a bunch of sites, but not really focusing on one.

I know you said you don't have a lot of spare time, but how much work do you think you could get done on your chocolate confections site each month? Even if you don't do a whole lot posts will add up over time if you are consistent with them.

Yeah, I don't want to jump around creating sites that I never finish!! Rationing my time/work by the month might be helpful, too. Thank you for your input!
