Setting your worthy goals
To most people goal setting is a lost concept. If you ask the majority of the people what their goal there is a big chance they’ll ask what you mean. And the chance for people to have their goals written down is even lesser. There is something magical happening when you write things down, which we will cover in a bit. There are also people that say that they don’t know what they want. I believe that you know what you want. You have just rejected it before you give it a serious thought.
Chances people give to go after their dreams and goals is less than one – Jim Rohn
Since you are reading this post I am sure you are not like everyone else. You are reading this because you want something out and in your life. You might also have by now have read and heard a lot of goal setting concepts. This concept that is about to be presented to you will maybe and hopefully put goal setting in a different perspective to you. You have maybe have experiences times when you set a goal and didn’t achieve it even though you followed the goal setting concepts that you been taught. When I got this concept introduced to me it changed my life completely. It's important to have a goal. Without a goal it is like driving a car and don't know where to go.
Three types of goals:
Goal type A:
A goal type A is a goal you know how to achieve it. Let’s say that you are a salesperson have made $2000 in commission and what to do it again. Or you have bought a Mercedes SL400 before and want to buy another one. A goal type A is simple a goal you know how to achieve. If you know how to reach a goal you’re after a wrong goal. With a goal type A you don’t grow. You are only going sideways. A goal is something you are going to go after that you have never done before.
Goal type B:
Now, let us have a look at goal type B. A goal type B takes us a little bit further. When setting a goal type B you gather information, make a plan how to achieve that goal and think, “If this and this happen then I can accomplish this”.
You might go after a goal type A or B for a while but then you will feel uninspired and quit after a while.
The purpose of a goal is the draw something out of you didn’t know was there – Bob Proctor
Goal type C:
A goal type C will put you in different perspective. In this type of goal you will have to ask yourself “What do I want?”. Figure out what you want can’t always be easy because you may not be use to be asked what you want. Your boss, family etc give you things and tells you to do. But now we are going to focus on you. Your dreams, wants and desires. Allow yourself to put yourself in the spotlight. Let you matter. It is after all your life, your movie. So why not let you be the star of your movie?
If you don’t work towards your dream somebody is going to hire you to fulfil theirs.
Let’s go back to your goal. What you want to accomplish. You might think right now about what resources, knowledge and so on that is need to reach this kind of goal. The fun part is to figure it out. Just take a moment and focus on what you want and desire in your life. We are going to plan how you are going to reach that goal.
Before we enter and make our self familiar with the goal type C. To set this type of goal you need to use something that you maybe don’t use that often and associate it what only children use. That’s is fantasy. When you are after your want you are using your fantasy. Again, if a goal doesn’t scare you, you are going for a wrong one.
Fantasy might seem an abstract word. But you know, without fantasy we wouldn’t have airplanes. People though the Wright brothers were insane when they said they were going up in the air.
When you have set your goal C
It is cruisal to ask yourself What am I willing to reach my goal C?, Am I willing to pay the price? Am I willing to do what I have to do to get where I am going? and Am I able? You can ask any scientist and ask what you are capable of doing, he won't be able to answear you. Because you have INFINITE POTENTIAL.
In the next post we going to put your C type goals into action.Without actions it is like a wish list that you send to Santa Claus and hope it to happen.
