My Wealthy Affiliate Experience
Hi everyone, I just want to share my experience of being a member particularly premium member of WA. I read about affiliate marketing sometime last year but knew I had to get some training as least when I read you have to have a website or blog where you post content to generate huge traffic before you begin to make money. I had no experience and really needed some basic knowledege or foundation to help me start.
I was always reading articles online including ones that made it look like you can just jump in without any experience but I did not buy the idea. I kept reading articles about it until I stumbled upon one that introduced me to Wealthy Affiliate! The moment I read through and started the level one training, I knew this was exactly what I have been looking for. A few days later, I seized the discount opportunity and became a premium member and there have been no regrets whatsoever. The trainings are clear and the support from the WA team and the community have been amazing! This is really a great place to be and gain tons of knowledge about how online business, particularly affiliate marketing works.
Within a time frame of less than 2 months, I have made significant progress. I have built a website on my very own domain and posted some content. I have also learnt how to manage my website and content. I am so proud of what I have been able to achieve so far and I intend to keep working hard to reach my goals.
I am in the health niche, particularly, healthy eating or low carb foods and I have gained a lot of knowledge through research which has helped me create my content. My greatest satisfaction or achievement come from helping people. I sent some of my posts to some people for their honest feedback and the told me that the posts are very informative and helpful. Without the monetary benefits, this gives me a lot of Joy. I want my motivation to come from helping people before money. Of course I want to make money from this but I am loving the experience so far.
Owning a website and creating quality content requires hard work but I am determined to reach my goals so I will keep going no matter the challenges. My major challenge so far are images to add to my posts. There are free images from some sites but some I would really love to use are paid and Fotolia says, Licence is not available for my location. I live in Saudi Arabia. Not much of a problem, I will make do with what I can get.
My short term goal is to create as many quality content as possible to really build my website and begin to get good traffic and rankings and my long term goal is to be an authority in my niche and run my website as a full time job.
Thank you WA team and community for this great experience and I wish everyone especially starters like me the very best.

Hi!
You certainly have the right mindset to build yourself a thriving online business.
Also, you are exactly right about having plenty of quality content. That's pretty much the key as we always have to keep in mind that our mission is to help visitors with the content we write.
After all, that's why people search the internet in the first place. So when you write something on your niche, ask yourself, "am I helping inform my visitors, or is my first goal to sell them something?"
People won't buy anything from you if you have not built up some trust first. You need to inspire them to come back and read about the next topic you post about.
Then, they will become your customers.
Don't be afraid to reach out to other members if you get stuck. We all started in the same place.
