First of all, I'm really sorry for what is happening and I hope your wife gets a better condition in the near future.

Concerning the training and the clear plan, think about an affiliate website as a place where you provide HELPFUL content to people in a certain field or category.

The most important tasks in building your affiliate business can be summarized in the following two steps:
1 - Find keywords that people in your niche are using in order to find information and answers.
2 - Create the helpful content that answers exactly their questions.


These are the most important tasks that when done consistently over a period of time can get you traffic that you can monetize.

And this is the main A-B-C plan of the training. Creating the useful content is the part that gets you the 80% of the desired result.

As an example: I'm starting a new website (SaveOnTheBills. com) and I have already researched good keywords that fall under the following categories:
1 - How to articles such as: How to lower the electric in apartments, how to lower electric bill in summer, how to recondition old batteries, ...etc.
2 - List articles such as: best 7 devices to reduce water consumption at homes, best 5 energy efficient thermostats, ...etc.
3 - Product reviews which includes both, digital products (from ClickBank for example such as: Power Efficiency Guide, EZ Battery Reconditioning, ...etc) and physical products from Amazon such as thermostats and different relevant devices.

This is the main theme of the new website that I plan to build over the next three months.

And this is what the training is really about. However, the rest of the tasks (such as customizing the website, connecting to Google Analytics and other tools, analyzing the results, ..etc.) are not the priority, but they are distributed throughout the training in order to make it easier to learn the relevant skills with time instead of learning them all at once.

WordPress is a simple software and can become complicated if we start customizing a lot of its parts and add many low-importance plugins.

Don't bother with the WordPress part for now, especially that you will be creating the content inside the SiteContent platform, which is very user friendly.

I know it might be a little bit overwhelming to keep creating content and not knowing where you are heading because you don't see the results immediately.

As I mentioned earlier, just focus on creating helpful content until you start getting traffic from Google.

As you move through the training, you will reach a lesson (level 3 lesson 9 of the main training: A Brilliant Way to Track & Understand Your Traffic ) where you connect your website to Google Analytics. And then, in level 5 lesson 2 ( The Business of Content - Achieving Maximum Success Through Content Creation Level 5 you will connect the website to Google Search Console.

These are the tools that will show you the fruit of your consistent efforts, and then, you will get the sense of relief knowing that what you are doing makes complete sense, and at that moment, you start focusing more on the monetization part and, if needed, on further customizing the website.

Just keep creating content as in the training until you connect your website to these two tools. And if you still feel stuck and uncomfortable creating the content, then you can connect these two tools now and start seeing where you are in terms of rankings and traffic.

Knowing that you are on your way to get the traffic will make you feel more confident about what you are doing and will make it easier for you to keep creating content.

Don't complicate things and thing about customizing the website until you start seeing lots of traffic.

Yes, I agree that some of the training here needs updating , but I must say that a number of members here made even the most difficult parts of web building look easy. Have you asked for help? Louis, First off you and your wife are in my prayers.

I wish I could help you with the website but I am still struggling as well. When I feel overwhelmed I ask for help and take a break. Slowly things start to make sense and figure things out.

Just go slow, take your time. Give your wife first priority cause you can always come back to this.

Really - you are struggling from the get go with lesson 1?

I'm also at the top end of life and can't think of anything that is clearer and easier than the way Kyle lays it out in his lessons.
Site support set up the basic site outline for you and then it is a matter of following the training exactly and you should be good to go.

Don't try to get ahead of yourself. Start at lesson #1 and play around until you feel a bit more confident.

If you can type you can build a website.
