Fancy eating chocolate every day for the next 7 days? Hmm, just look at that image, delicious chocolate smothering the gorgeous marshmallows and strawberry. Yum, the combination of strawberries and chocolate - right up my street! Don't stop there, you can have chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, dark chocolate, milk or white chocolate - mint chocolate! Yes, what is your fancy? Stay with me and find out why I am making this offer - Eat Chocolate Daily For 7 Days - Who Is In?

7 Day Commitment

I read an article the other day, written by a previous mentor of mine. He said something along these lines: “If you want to eat that chocolate bar today, then commit to eating a chocolate bar every day for the next 7 days. If you want to sleep in this morning, then commit to sleeping in every morning for the next 7 days. If you want to slack off with your work, then commit to slacking off every day for the next 7 days”. What was his point? We allow ourselves with “just for today” in mind. We do not think about the next 7 days, or 7 weeks or 7 months, or 7 years. We think only about today. The challenge is this, often times, just today does become the next 7 days. Is that what we had in mind when we thought of “just for today”? Absolutely not. But it is a slippery slide that we step onto when we allow ourselves in this way.

I concur with this thinking, if I am not disciplined today, it is easier to slip into ill discipline tomorrow, and easier and easier each day thereafter. If, however, I have a disciplined day today, I decline that chocolate bar, wake at the planned early hour, complete the scheduled exercise session, hydrate properly throughout the day and eat clean overall – guess what happens the day after? That’s right, I feel motivated to continue within the pattern of discipline. This becomes easier and easier too. Have you noticed that when you eat right and hydrate properly, your taste for processed and sickly sweet, or any other naughty “treats” seems to fade. For me it doesn’t disappear completely, but I believe that this is more psychological in my case – the fleeting moment of desire for something unhealthy to eat.

It’s a bit like smoking. I have been a non-smoker for 8 or 9 years now and cannot imagine anything worse that breathing that stench into my mouth and throat and face – and yet, I have fleeting moments when I think I want a smoke. When I first stopped smoking, I remember wrangling with the physical urge to smoke and my decision to stop. It really was a battle at times. What stopped me from smoking?” I was still craving nicotine, so the craving was real back then. The decision to stop is was prevented me from lighting up another cigarette. See, having been addicted to smoking, I knew that if I lit that one cigarette, just one, I was going to be in it for a long time. And I was done with that! I love that my hair and body and clothes and breath no longer reek of cigarettes! I am what is known as a “Happy Non Smoker”. Don’t believe it’s possible? Attend Allen Carr’s “Easy Way To Stop Smoking”. It is a winner!

* I am not an affiliate of Allen Carr's Easyway To Stop Smoking - but I am in good company with the likes of Ellen de Generis, and I see the gorgeous Ashton Kutcher in on the site for some reason too.

Application Of The 7 Day Principle

The idea here is to apply that same principle to everything that challenges me in my daily life. The day starts with me pressing the snooze button, this is not a good way for me to start the day. Ever noticed that when you wake up the second, third or fourth time, you are waking up more and more tired? At least that is how it is for me. If I hop out of bed (or stumble if need be) at the first alarm and don’t snooze it even once, my level of alertness is higher, I feel more refreshed (regardless of how late the night before was), I am more energetic for the whole day, more organized too. From tomorrow, Monday 4 February 2019, I am applying the principle, if I do it today, then I commit to doing it for the next seven days. Meaning, if I hit snooze tomorrow morning, I am choosing to hit snooze every day, and miss out on the most important routine of the day and that is preparation. I am choosing to be late for work every day. In my case, this means not doing my WA work because my preference is to be in the office early and get 2 hours of WA work in before I start working for my employer. That means, over a 5-day working week, I am choosing not to work on my own business for a minimum of 10 hours!!! What business owner would do that?

The decision has been made to apply this same principle to everything I value – I choose to spend time in prayer, every single day; I choose to eat healthy and hydrate well, every single day; I choose to exercise, every single day. If I do not do any of those things for just one day, then the following seven days will be the same.

Paradigm Shift

Wow! Talk about a paradigm shift! This previous mentor of mine achieved his ideal body by following this practice. He had a great body before – now he is rocking a seriously buff body! Sorry ladies, he is taken, by a seriously gorgeous lady. The likelihood is high that they both live their lives this way. They are beautiful to look at, highly successful in affiliate marketing – and it’s all the result of hard work and discipline.

What are your thoughts WA Community? Would applying this principle to your world make a difference? If you do not work on your site today, that is the commitment for the next seven days. No blog today? No blogs for seven days. No training? The same applies.

Rock This Week With Me!

I know what I am going to be doing this week – I am going to be ROCKING IT! Whilst I am ROCKING IT by applying this principle to everything I value, I am going to be working on my BIHAGs too. Yes, I have decided that previously set BIHAGs are not BIHAGs at all, in fact they are too safe to be BIHAGs. The vision is growing as we speak, I cannot wait for Monday to start. With that in mind, it is now 10.00pm, I am off to bed shortly so I am up with the first ring of my alarm on the morning! Are you ROCKING THIS WEEK WITH ME? Or are you signing up for this team: Eat Chocolate Daily For 7 Days - Who Is In? Let me know in the comments below.

Night night folks, see ya on the morrow!

Blessings

Louise

My favorite healthy recipe for chocolate have only three ingredients...Dates, cocoa poder, and coconut oil. Try it. It's delicious

Hi Leonard
I have tried these and they are delicious! Next week I will be making a batch (this is a fast week, spiritual reasons, so it's fruit and veg only, no oil - not even coconut oil). Thank you for the reminder.

Louise

All you need is fruit and some vegies...my diet:)

Hi Louise

Hi Tracey
Good for you - though I can't really see the fun in that, I have a love affair with chocolate :-)
Perhaps there is another temptation you wrestle with on occasion?
Thank you for stopping to read and comment, much appreciated.

Hi Louise
dont get my wrong i have cravings but i think i have taught myself to be careful i love chocolate but i have to watch some of it i am allergic to milk as well.

I love your posts and I hate your posts!

I love that they're entertaining, on point, compulsive reading and always very interesting.

I hate that they always seem to point out my weaknesses.

On balance I can't decide if I want you to get to day 22 or start back at day 1.

Back to work (just for today)

Haha, Lawrence :-) You really do make me laugh!
Stick around my friend, day 21 is clearly in my sights - I won't be going anywhere after that either though, this process of blogging every day is quite enjoyable.
Glad to see you getting back to work - even if it is just for today :-)

But then I read all you wrote, and you are so totally right!!
And yes, I'm in and already started!

I wish you and everyone who starts after this article lots of success 🍀 🍀

Hi Yvette
Haha! The title had the desired effect :-) I have been detoxing since 19 January so I knew the title would throw people off :-)
Thank you for stopping to read, even though it meant having to reconsider eating chocolate again! Well done for stopping, it's such a delicious treat, and hard to stop when we start (at least that is my experience).
Whing you loads of success!
