Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows how I can change the order my posts are being displayed on my website? I've changed themes and changed the order in the edit menu,
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you just want to change the order, Edit each post and change the publish date. Posts are usually listed most recent to oldest.
The theme I use allows me to place various widgets on the home page and then have it populate each widget with posts associated with a specific category. They are still newest to oldest but it's nice to have like posts grouped together.
Like Andre said. Or you could use quick edit to change the published date on your posts to make the chronological order match the order you want.
Phil, that was just what the Dr ordered. The quick edit, changing the post time allowed me to list my content in the order that makes it flow much better. Thank you so much.
Go to appearance then menu within your website dashboard
There you just click and hold that post and drag it to where you want it to be.
don't forget to save before you close it.
Thank you for your feedback. I tried that, but it is not changing how the information is being displayed on my website.
The order of your posts is normally based on the date you created them so the newer posts will appear at the top.
If you have created a menu which would be at the top of your website and you want the posts to appear in a certain way or change it to another menu instead then the method I mention will work.
If you wish send me via PM only your web address and I can see how it is and we can work out the way you want it to look at.
