Allow Me To Encourage You . Never Ever Give Up

Hey Awesome Fellow WAers! I haven't been around much, not really out of choice (oh, okay, sometimes a little bit because I lost momentum too) due to eye surgery which was done on 8 October 2019! Yeah, who would've thought that eye surgery nearly four months ago would still be setting me back! It has and is frustrating as can be, and there have been some hard lessons learned in this period for sure. But, I have some great news for you, allow me to encourage you ... never ever give up.

It Can Be Frightening

Putting yourself out there can be frightening, the feeling of hanging over a bottomless abyss like this woman on a swing.

I am not afraid of heights, I would SO do this! Given the choice of putting myself out there into cyber space when I can't always see what I am doing and taking a chance as this lady has, I would definitely opt for the swing!

This has really tested my resolve and taken me time to "come back from". To be frank, I am not 100% back yet either, double vision is the order of most days. It improves when I close one eye, but you know, the other eye can only do so much work alone.

Tomorrow is a follow up with the surgeon, hopefully he will have some good news for me.

Where Is The Great News Then?

I've seen growth, with minimal writing work - not something I am particularly proud of as I really enjoy writing, but given the circumstances, I had to find another way.

Pinterest Is My New Best Friend

I know the number's are not enormous, 7.8k impressions, only 17 saves and 11 link clicks, but look at the green numbers!

I Am Over The Moon!

This has happened as a result of consistently posting - not content, I struggle too much to write that much - but I am posting regularly and linking to a sign up form. Not just on Pinterest, also other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. But Pinterest is giving me the best results so far.

My content strategy has been to select a theme per month and build around that. So far #NewBeginnings has been working for me for #20Plenty. I design a post in Canva with an appropriate quote and eye-catching image, with a link to the sign up page - literally, that is all I have been doing - but it has been consistent.

Never Ever Give Up

As you can see, I am taking small actions, and I am taking them regularly. Not every day, most times every second day.

I am also following other appropriate boards on Pinterest and saving their pins too. It's all about #sharingiscaring.

No matter how incapacitated you are or feel, allow me to encourage you, take small steps daily, every second day even, whatever you can manage and never ever give up!
