Posting from the Heart
A week ago, I wrote a blog post about travelling alone and why it is the best thing you can do for yourself. It was a post from my heart and I felt a little vulnerable publishing it online and really wasn't sure whether I wanted to!
To my delight, it's had a fantastic reaction so far, about 250 unique views and over 100 likes on Facebook. It just goes to show that posts from the heart really seem to resonate! It's a shame these aren't the posts that make the money! But connecting with readers is such a great feeling :)

Connecting with your readers IS the way to success and that means more sales/signups/subscriptions, so it is important to show you have a heart, first and can help your readers find the solutions they have been looking for.
That is very true Louise, it's as if people can sense it's from the heart.
Keep on writing from your heart...
It's something I've been battling with too. Trying to 'write for keywords' and 'write for rankings' just seems to take the life and vibrancy out of a post.
I like to write with character and humour and sarcasm and wit and irreverence.....yet I find when I do all the keyword research and H1 research and title tag research bla bla bla......my post becomes as dry as the Gobi Desert. During a drought.
I need to find a way of keeping my soul and my joy of writing while blending it all with strategic ranking tactics. If you find the golden nugget, pass it on!!
