4 Days To Edit A YouTube Video!
Hello wonderful supportive family.
I hope you are all well?
4 Days to edit 1 YouTube video!!
Seriously I must be doing something wrong?
I think I need serious help with editing.
Watching other YouTube videos is not helping.
I will get there eventually hopefully. Fingers crossed.
Have an amazing week.

Yea, remember that the really well-edited videos were likely edited by someone else, not the person who made the video. And that requires money. For every video.
So when you are doing the video editing yourself, keep it super simple.
Don't try to be like the professional editors. Notice the training videos on here are super simple. Especially the latest ones using the new video training tutorial technology.
They pretty much just record, talk, and publish. One video was litter fancier and showed his screen for parts of it as well. But nothing else.
I'm not sure what type of video you are making, but if you talk into the camera, try to talk from beginning to end. Without requiring cutting out a bunch of pieces, etc. Add a simple CTA overlay at the beginning and end. Focus on making the video content really helpful, and useful, and that will do the job in the meantime.
Good morning Lisa,
Thank you for your blog post, I hope you're doing well in sunny Spain.
The good news is that, at least now, your video is edited!
Out of interest, Lisa, what editing software do you use?
I use Camtasia as I have used their software for many years, although I'm fairly new to editing videos. I'm actually going through their video certification course at the moment. I started last winter and would like to move forward again with the course this winter.
I do believe that the more we can practice using software, the easier it becomes. Although I do think editing videos can be time-consuming.
Do you ever make a raw video with no edits? I've heard of people who do not edit any of their videos, even if a family member comes into the room! They just leave it as it is!
Have a great week.
Roy
Hey Roy,
You are right at least I got it completed and on YouTube.
I use screen cast o matic for editing and recording.
I never make a raw video without editing!!
Have an amazing week.
Lisa.
Hello Lisa,
That's interesting, I must admit that I have never tried screencastomatic, but I have heard of it. With all types of software, it takes time to learn the process, so I guess we are best to stick to what we know!
I understand, Lisa, that makes sense, hopefully, the editing process will speed up as time goes on. I know that you have created quite a few videos, so I guess you are getting the hang of things now.
All the best.
Roy
The process is becoming easier it's just that some videos take a lot more putting together than just me talking :-)
I fully understand where you're coming from, Lisa! When I see some of the videos that people put up, they really are so professional. I was looking at a video the other day from someone I listen to, he had all sorts of short clips of video, within his video. It must take a huge amount of work!
I guess that he probably employs a video editor, I could be wrong. He has around 1.2 million subscribers and puts out a video every Saturday! Amazing, it just shows what can be achieved online.
That could be us one day!
All the best.
Roy
Hello Lisa,
I understand! I believe that Roope uses a video editor. I have no idea how easy they are to find.
I believe that many of us appreciate you posting your stories with the highs and lows! I believe that it helps many of us, especially with your real-life story of building an Internet business.
Wishing you a great day and hoping that your next video will be easier to edit.
Roy
I have to agree with Mel, when I posted, which is seldom now though I need to get back to it, I wasn't worried about much of anything if the information was good!
You'll get it done, Lisa! Step back and relax, and tackle it again after getting some rest!
Jeff
It is on YouTube finally :-)
I could in no way leave it unedited because it is not just 1 video.
Have a great week Jeff.

Lisa,
I use Da Vinci to edit my YouTube videos and it works great. There is a free version of it. It has tons of information on how to use it and there are some really great features. I edit my videos there then head over to canva to add my sounds. This may be something you may want to check out.
