Love Using AI but.
While thoroughly enjoying all that AI is offering in my content creation, a few things I've noticed and others should be aware of are:
- The tone can seem quite canned at times. Also, the overuse of the word 'embrace' in any tense is maddening! I've seen it used in many website posts of others that I read. Dead giveaway!
- It's impossible to recreate my own voice as, in my opinion, AI creates content that is strictly positive and inclusive in everything it creates.
- AI does make mistakes: it put a quote in one of my creations and cited it incorrectly.
However, it is a fantastic tool to use in generating titles, headings, topics, and even a draft post that you can adjust to make it sound like it's written by a real person with real emotions that aren't always upbeat and positive.
Some posts are not meant to be nurturing and coddling, but instead direct and even corrective. Some posts are simply necessary that may not be inclusive and popular. In general it's important to use AI as the tool it was meant for. It helps generate ideas when you creativity is waning. It can give you drafts of content that you hone to your needs.
But never should it be used solely to create your content. Even if you do tweak it a bit.
I've made that mistake and now I recognize when others over use AI creations as their own work. I'm not saying anyone is doing anything wrong, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that knows an AI post when reading one and would rather see the writer's own talent shine through!
That is my rant for today!
Love and hugs,
~Lisa Renee

I totally hear you Lisa!! AI is a fantastic tool to have in ones armory and it certainly speeds up research and content creation!!
There are so many words that it overuses though which we just generally wouldn't use in every day conversation!!
I have a huge list of these words and always prompt AI not to use them in anything it produces for me!
The better and precise prompts we give, the better the outcome my friend! :-)
You're soo right Lisa! You can smell AI content a mile off. Of course, Ai has its place. I use ChatGPT every day but I always like to start the content creation process off with just me staring at a wall with a pen and notebook and asking:
"If I were searching this phrase, what would I want to know?"
That alone will make your content stand out from the crowd.
I also think, in the age of AI and in light of recent Google updates, having personality and really focussing on building a genuine connection with people is key! And that's definitely something AI content can't do.
Hey Lisa,
I have been using AI for writing, images, and video for quite a long time now. Try using AI platforms that allow you to change the "tone" to someone specific. You can also upload one of your hand-written articles and let the AI detect your voice from that. Preferably a longish article of at least 2000 words or so. I use the text below to help exclude some words and phrases but without the quotes:
"Avoid using passive voice, use only active voice.
Please do not use any of the following words: transformative, foster, fosters, fostering, tapestry, all about, think of, like, it's like, not only, but also, indeed, furthermore, notwithstanding, one might argue, it is worth noting that, pertaining to, utilize, insofar as, thus, ostensibly, cracking, crafting, creating, delving, delve, delves, embrace, embracing, masterful, mastering, nuance, unearthing, unlocking, unveiling, if you’re looking for."
Which AI platforms and apps do you use?
'delve' ...another word that annoys me🤨 Love the list!
Yes, I've been testing different platforms out. Claude being the latest which seems promising. I use chatGPT, bing, video gen, etc. It's wild how different platforms perform.
Yip it is, try Writesonic and Jasper. See which one of those (two of the very best for AI writing BTW) works for you... WS is more affordable in general, that is why I switched to them. Jasper has a few features that outperform WS, but in general, I'm quite happy with WS so I'll stick to it for a while.
All the free ones are fine, but you have to get the premium versions to get a phenomenal edge. You gotta sometimes spend a bit to get higher quality results.
