How to get started with Wealthy Affiliate- A Quick Start Guide

Don't know how to get started with Wealthy Affiliate? Feeling Overwhelmed?
Here is a quick start guide, laid out in 4 steps, to get you rolling in the right direction after joining Wealthy Affiliate, no matter what level of membership you chose.

1. Create account at Wealthy Affiliate.
2. Watch Video.
3. Training.
4. Stay Focused.

Step 1- Complete!

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate!

I want to congratulate you on already completing step 1 and on taking the next step toward reaching your online business goals. We are so happy that you decided to join us and we want to help you reach success.

(If for any reason you have landed here and have not yet created your account. Stop and do so now. We wouldn't want you to get left behind.)

It's important to understand the process of how to make money online so that you have a better understanding of what you are going to be doing.

Step 3- Training!

I understand that it is easy to get lost in the abundance of information and tools that Wealthy Affiliate has to offer. When you join you look around and try to get familiar with the site. You check out the community. You see the training, classes, blogs and then you find yourself unsure of where to begin and overwhelmed.

No worries. I am here to help set you on the right path and keep you there. I want you to forget about everything except for one thing. Training. This is the most important tool you need when starting at any membership level. (We all have to start at the same place.)

The magic begins when your training begins. Remember that. Anytime you get overwhelmed always go back to the training. Get stuck, ask a question and then go back to the training and keep working.

Keep your eye on the prize!

Feel free to look around for a few minutes but don't waste too much time.

Your main focus when joining Wealthy Affiliate is building your online business. It is so important to remember that and not get too distracted with the community.

Now I am not saying don't use the community. The community is an excellent tool to use during your training to ask questions when you need help. Under each lesson is a comments section where you can ask questions. Someone will help you in a timely manner as there is someone here in every time zone.

You can use your profile to share your progress as you go through on your blog. To do this click the pencil on the top right of your screen and then click blog at WA or you can go click on your face in the upper right-hand corner, click My blog, and then click Create new blog post.

You can also use your profile to ask a question go to your face in the upper right-hand corner, view profile, click question. Remember, no question is a stupid question.

You can also utilize the Live Chat feature (7 days as a starter member) or the search feature. Type in what your question is and relative training will come up to help answer the question.

When you are just getting started the training is your number one priority.

So, how do you access the Wealthy Affiliate training?

Go to Training (located in your upper left-hand corner) > Online Entrepreneur Certification > Level 1 Getting Started.

Be sure to DO the tasks as you go through the training. Remember that magic I was talking about? This is it. As you take ACTION and do the training you will see it all come together and before you know it, you will have a flourishing online business.

If you get stuck, ask for help. Be specific. There is no stupid question. That is what the community is here for. We thrive on helping one another achieve success.

Step 4- Stay Focused!

What is it to be focused? When you are focused you pay a lot of attention to whatever it is you are doing (an interest or activity).
Your main goal is your website. Stay focused on going through the training and building your website.

There will be distractions, whether it be online or real life. A way to stay on track is to set goals. A Daily Action Plan will help you stay on task.

There are no shortcuts!

This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. I had someone ask me how they can make progress in a short amount of time.

The exact question was, What exactly can I really start and make progress in the short run?
My answer: Any niche you choose is going to require you to follow the training and put in the work. There are no shortcuts. If you follow the training you will make the most progress towards any niche you choose. Focus now on building your foundation (your website) and everything else will fall into place.

I am sharing this because I believe it is very important for you understand that success will not happen overnight or even a couple months. It takes applying what you learn and time.

Be patient. I can promise you if you follow the training, apply it, work hard at it, and be patient you will see success.
