Why Are We Making Mountains Out Of Molehills?
I just read a blog written by the affiliate telling us her experience in setting up Amazon links in her article. Knowing me, my mind will "reverse engineer" what I'm doing and probably do what she did which was a simple fix. Then I get stuck on problem for days if not weeks, just not wanting to tackle it YET. It becomes a mountain too tall to cross.
I have done that with my Pretty Links plugin, in that I tried to set them up, and thought I'd done something wrong. I for interrupted and I thought, "I'll finish this later." After mearly 2 months, when I went back in to look at my Pretty Links, I found that they are working fine.
When I finally brought myself back to listen to the Pretty Links training again, I don't know why I waited so long. I had understood correctly the first time.
Why do we "make mountains out of molehills"?
If anyone has a good answer I'd sure be interested.
This is like a giant puzzle.
One of the things I love about Wealthy Affiliate is the fact that when someone has a struggle with something and then solves the problem, they often share their info and show the answer to that piece of the puzzle.
We are continually finding pieces that fit perfectly in our WA Puzzle by asking questions. I usually can type in whatever difficulty I have in the "Need Help" section at the top of each blog page and several answers are already there. Someone else has shared how to do that particular thing, so there's no waiting for an answer.
Thanks for all of you who post your Puzzle piece finds. Wishing you all success at Wealthy Affiliate!
Linda
PS. I can't believe I published this with the title "Why do we Making Mountains Out Of Molehils" and 92 comments later I catch the error. With 44 comments no one even called me on it.. That is unbelievable, except for this kind community. You all knew the error, but knew what I meant. But why call me out? Thanks again for your kindness and understanding. Never mind, I fixed it.
I love you ALL!

It is how we can roll sometimes, Linda, you are not alone.
Building and having confidence in, all we have here in WA can be one of the best breakthrough moments, we can make.
So true if we don't know something, someone else will be working through the same issue, found the solution, or will have implemented it with good results.
The icing on the cake is that fellow members are only to keen to share their experiences.
It must be so hard for affiliate marketers that are battling way by themselves, all on their lonesome.
You hit the nail on the head when you said it is so lonely working affiliate marketers struggling all alone and being so lonely.
Hi Linda,
Yes I find the same. I struggle with the little things and need step by step guides and of course, so great to type in your question and so much pops up and of course the answers are there. I actually love the walk thru videos, so I can stop, jot down key points and then move forward and yay, I have done it!
I'm a true master at making mountains out of molehills!! It's great though when you realise everything was ok anyway! I've often got stuck on something believing I wasn't able to understand it, then realising how simple it was all along. Best wishes, Kathy:)
Sometimes I get to berating myself but it appears I'm not so dumb after all. Best wishes to you too. Linda
Hello Linda, I think you are doing really well.
I had all sorts of issues with pretty links and had to get my good wife to train me through that time.
For whatever reason, I just could not understand that training.
Keep up the good progress, you can do this.
All the best
Darren :)
Hey Darren, Thank you for your comments and confidence in me. It really helps when you all give such positive remarks. I do think I'll make it, I'm just not sure which life I'll be in when I make it, this one or the next. LOL

Hello,
Sometimes I think its lack of self belief, doubting yourself. You do know what your doing. Give yourself a pat on the back more often. It will do wonders.
By the way you are doing fine.
Nicola
OK Pat Pat Pat, I'm taking your advice. Now, if I could only really reach my back. Thanks for your comments, Nicola.

Who knows? I really like the comment about howI read it or listen first, and it is so confusing, so I take time to read and read other's comments on many subjects and then when I come back I have learned so much that what was hard to understand at first suddenly is now easy to see.

Sometimes we cannot express exactly what we wanted to say. Many words can help to let others understand it. Although there are times we can say it clearly.
Nothing wrong with you, people in tech have been running in circles for years. Good thing about being a WA entrepreneur, you run your own business and yet are not alone. Hit a roadblock, just ask here.
Well Stanley, thanks for telling me I'm OK. We are our own worst critique I guess. We are harder on ourselves than others often.
Being here in the community we have each other to encourage us and help get us out of our negativity. Thanks, Stanley for your comments.

I am one who is not afraid to try things even when I am not sure and when Sometimes I don’t do I discover that I was right.
With this in mind I always try things the first time..it comes with time and Persistence
I think that is part of my problem, I try before I know all the answers and then I confuse myself. But at least we try.
