Sooooooo....... How are you getting on?

Loving it? Yes that's me, despite a couple of glitches where I coudn't log in and for a time the site vanished.

Did you get that too? Were you like me? Worried, even panicked for a bit until you realised that the WA team woud be on it very quickly.

I have to say, I have never known a platform that sorts things out so quickly, we are very lucky.here.

Anyone have any different experiences or still having problems? If so maybe between us we can help each other.

Many do not like change, I get that, it is a very human condition and quite normal.

If you just want to have a grump about it and get it off your chest before you move forwards, please do so in the comments, it can help.

I know it can be hard to deal with big changes but remember that we are very fortunate to have those changes.

WHY?

The internet is a big place and those that stay ahead, embrace changing technology and keep improving and innovating are the best places to be.

Which is right here, where we are! Working together to make better livees for ourselves and others. Embracing change beause together we are Creating a Better Future!

I am a self-proclaimed 'changeaphobe', well, if such a thing exists, which it must do, as I am one.
That said, I doubt mind change, as long as I have time to adjust, some 'notice' if you like.
Still, not hose occasions when it has happened then I do embrace it, as it then comes under the guise of 'It is what it is.'
My normal WA workday has not been affected, so all is good.

I was more of a dinosaur Twack at least changeaphobe sounds better 🤣😂
Weirdly I embraced it after the first shock of thinking something had happened to my computer.
Glad your WA workday hasn't been affected.
Are you okay?

Maybe one becomes more receptive to change during times of high emotional intensity?
Yes, thank you, all is well, I trust that you are still enjoying the 'buzz'.

Could well be.
Oh yes I am, thanks, its very fizzy. Sounds strange but that is how it feels.

Effervescent, though that does remind me of "plink, plink fizz..."

Yes, that's the word I was looking for, bubbling up and over, more than plink plink fizz. Lol.
Wasn't that an advert for an indigestion remedy of some sort?

Yes, I think it was Alka Seltzer.

Yes, that was it. That was a long time ago. I wonder if they still make them.

I believe they do, though it has been twenty years or so since I have had any. Andrew's is in the cupboard.

I thought Andrews was a different one? In a tin with a lift off lid.
They were still about when I was working in a chemist.

Andrew's for settling upset stomachs? Alka Seltzer was more for hangovers if I remember rightly.

Aahh, yes it was upset stomachs for Andrews. Did not know Alka Seltzer was for hangovers, thought it was indigestion or something. Lol.

Well, it was what I used to use 'back in the day' when they were more than a regular occurrence. I do not miss them, that's for sure.

I see, a misspent youth, lol.

So it would seem and possibly a good chunk of adult life as well😲.

Hmmmm..... I'm not actually a grown-up yet. Don't tell anyone.
I once saw a quote thing that said "if you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to"
I know it's true because it was on Facebook! 🤣😂

As that was quite a lot of years ago since I was 50, I can vouch for it being a good thing not to grow up.🤣😂

Once again I agree and I can honestly say that in my view, maturity is vastly overrated.
It's weird when you come across someone who is obviously younger than you but in your eyes, they are a 'grown-up'

I agree. People become adults and forget to have fun. Many even forget how to smile, let alone laugh. Then they have the nerve to give you disapproving looks when you laugh. Which is so funny it makes you laugh harder.

That's actually quite normal, happens all the time, lol. My 23 year old granddaughter is often more of a grown-up than I am.

The best thing about it is that I don't foresee a time when I will be any different.

That is good, me neither.
Actually getting older has lots of bonuses, this is for the future for you, you have a good way to go yet.
People offer help, though that's not recent, its because I am short.
They don't seem to mind so much when I speak my mind. Well, they hide it, if they do.
You don't get told off for riding on the trolley along the aisles, they just snigger.
I can sing out loud anywhere and no one tells me off. Probably a good thing as I have a habit of singing and don't realise I am doing it, lol.
There's lots more, I just can't think of them right now.
It's been a long day, lol.

I read this last night but was too 'fuzzy' to reply, it made me laugh then and I've just read it now and laughed all over again.

I have no benchmark for 'short' as I am a mere 5'10" and one of my sons has repeatedly labelled me as short and the other one blames me for him not reaching 6'.

I am also a trolley rider along with purposely pushing item off the shelves right by my wife and then wandering off.

Looks like I have a lot to look forward to.

I am 5 foot though sometimes I say 5'1" to make me feel taller.
I tell my grandkids I am a giant and they say you aren't Nanny, then I tell them that's just my personality. Cue eye rolls.
As the middle 2 are now 11 and 14 they are already taller than me.
My younger daughter tells me that 5 year olds are taller than mee and pats me on the head.Lol.

You do have a lot to look forward to. If you misbehave but laugh while doing it they just think you are nuts and stay well away.
It's great.

My sister is 5'1" and is what you would call 'a force of nature' when she has a mind to. I think height goes out of the window when you have 'presence'.

She sounds like a woman I would like. I bet she wades in where angels fear to tread.

I would have to agree with you, on both counts. She has seemingly carved out a prominent place in an otherwise male-dominated world.

Good for her, she sounds wonderful.

You're very kind, she certainly has her moments.

Great post

Thank you Dorrie.

HI Linda
Yes it's always interesting when something you have gotten used to undergoes a change. I think the new setup is good and will just take a bit of getting used to,

Cheers
Dave

It is hard because we are stepping outside our comfort zone Dave.
If we change our mindset just a little it is easier to embrace the change, especially when we know it helps us towards success.

Where have pm's gone? That has confused me. But otherwise generally good.

Hi Trevor, its under Help.
It is tricky at first finding everything, lol.

True. Thank you.

very good post . And this is awesome !!

Thank you Clinton.
I agree, it is totally awesome. Anything that helps us towards success is brilliant!
