The truth about Wealthy Affiliate

I was watching the Live Chat on Friday, reading what the people posted and there seems to be a HUGE misconception about what Wealthy Affiliate is, so for the newbies, the sceptics and the critics, here's an update:

First let's start with what WA is NOT:

1) It is NOT a get rich quick scheme:

There are enough of those online, and you should know (as I've learned through experience) - if someone tells you that you can make allot of money in a short period of time - they are lying to you. (eg. How to make a $100 000 in 24 hours - does it even sound possible when you think about it in reality?)

They are not telling you that here, please read the introduction letter again that you received when you joined as well as the email you received from Kyle.

2) It is NOT a place where you invest or buy shares

Have you ever tried trading on Forex? That is where you buy shares and trade. That is where you invest money and you can either get more if you did a good investment, loose some money or loose all your money.

3) It is not a place where you pay for premium and suddenly your money grows

Actually the same as above, but I would like to add, how fast or slow your money is going to grow depends on you. It depends on your dedication and your commitment. They give you the right tools, but if you don't use them, you won't see results.

4) Why do I have to pay for premium?

Just like university, college or school, you had to pay to learn.

Building online training at such a high degree and standard you find here, takes time and money - you won't give yours away for free, why should they?

Plus you can host your website here, if you do it outside of WA, you also have to pay for hosting your website.

I like to explain it like this:

• Your domain name is the name of your shop.
• Your hosting is the premises you rent for your shop.

Now let's look at what WA IS:

1) WA is a school

Did you go to school, college or university?

When you paid your school fees, did they get a job for you?

No, you had to study, give your best and use what you learned from it and go out into the world, get a job and work for someone or start your own business.

Just like with school, whether you are a starter member or a premium member, WA gives you the tools to use and you have to do the work.

You have to do the training and use what you learn from it by building your own website.

2) WA is a community

Building your online presence is no easy task and running into obstacles is a huge part of working online.

In this community there are allot of people with knowledge in allot of different categories and you can just ask - someone is bound to help you.

3) Does WA work?

I've been working online for almost 3 years now and you can believe me when I tell you there is ALLOT to learn when it comes to building websites.

WA just makes it easier and gives you the right steps to follow at the right time.

If you do the steps in the wrong order (like monetizing your website to soon), things won't work out like they should.

If you use the wrong keywords or build your website wrong, once again, things won't work out right for your online business and it will take you years to accomplish anything.

Yes, WA works - IF you do the work and follow the lessons. Don't go on with the next lesson if you did not finish the previous one.

Here at WA is allot of valuable information and it is easier to learn than to try and do it all by yourself, believe me (been there, done that)

What you should remember

I regularly tell people who wants to make money online - STOP THINKING ABOUT MAKING MONEY.

Sounds crazy, that's the reason you're here, then why should you stop thinking about making money?

Because of the following reasons:

1) If your only purpose is to make money and that is the only reason you're building a website, chances are that you will promote anything you can lay your hands on - even if it is a scheemy, untrustworthy making money online program that just robs other people - that is definitely NOT what you would want to do. It will damage your reputation and people (who are supposed to be your customers) won't trust you anymore.

2) Change your entire mindset about what you are doing and building. Your website is your business and should not be taken lightly. Have you ever had a business?

4) A business cost money. Have you taken a look at what it costs to buy a business? Take a look at businesses being sold in your local area - they are expensive.

3) Building a business from the ground up is not a joke, it takes hard work and dedication before you can reap the fruits of your hard work.

We had a Take-away business for 10 years and when we bought it (at a costly price) it was bankrupt (they lied on the books and we fell for it). But we did not let that get us under - we put in allot of hours, working hard, building it up from the ground and growing it into a profitable business within 2 years we had to get double the staff, because the workload was too high for the existing staff.

The moral of the story:

You will get out what you put in as long as you are committed and dedicated and realize that your website is as much a business as any.

WA gives you the tools you need to build up your business and it is up to you what you do with it.
