Feeling stuck!

It's taken me almost 3 weeks to find a niche and get the basic 3 pages up on my siterubix site. I've had to scrap the first niche, then go back and review lessons in Course 1 in order to develop the second niche.

Is this normal or am I really moving too slowly?

I just want my site to reflect my interest. I don't want to do a half job. It's not my habit to do incomplete work.

I look forward to my time spent on WA every day. But I've been stuck on Course 2, Lesson 1 for 3 days and haven't been able to move forward.

Feeling a little frustrated now and needed to vent.

I would also welcome any assistance in getting over these feelings and moving forward.

I did the same thing. I had at least three niches I was deciding on. I joined Jaaxy and must have looked at thousands of keywords before deciding on my niche. This took at least two weeks. Then I tried about a dozen themes. I still don't like the theme I chose and may change it again. I know the whole idea is to just get started. They say the first one will never be perfect but that is the way I am. Over time this will all seem so silly as we build some great sites. Trust me Lina you are far from being alone. I know you have now been here about six weeks so how about an update. thanks. Rick

Welcome to my world! :)

Hi Lina,

Don't be hard on yourself. You're learning a totally new skill set. When you were learning to walk or talk I'm sure it took some time. Well this is the same process. Everyone moves at their own pace. This is your business. There isn't any time line and it's not a race. I applaud you that you realized your original niche needed to change instead of forcing the issue. That's what business is about. So you're moving along just fine. As long as you're taking action that's forward progress. Be sure not to compare yourself to others during this process. We all learn and apply things at different speeds. So run your race.

Eddy, I really appreciate the motivating comments. I really needed that last night.
But you know the funny thing is, that this morning I woke up with ideas running through my head for an article and another category for my site. Maybe I should just start writing drafts when I get these urges. What do you think?
.

You're welcome Lina!
That's exactly what I do. God bless the folks that can write new articles every day. I can't. I only write when I'm inspired. So what I do is exactly what you suggested. When I'm inspired I try to write as many articles as possible. But I drip feed them out to my audience. So if I can bang out 3 articles in a couple of days. I'll only release one article that week. And then another the next week. So if I happen to be in a funk and can't think of anything to write, I have a bank of content.

So you run with that idea!

I think it's perfectly normal it takes me time as well, I was thinking I was moving too slowly but at the same time I am learning a lot and it's better this way for now anyway until I really understand everything.
So what I do is read a lot of posts and getting lots of information and try to do what I can.
Like upsgirl said asking questions always help and it means you are learning so don't be afraid to ask anything !

I responded through another Discussion Thread. This is not a race. It's perfectly fine to work at your own pace. I haven't seen you ask any questions, though. Don't be afraid to interact with us...perhaps, you could have avoided this feeling you're having...make sense?
