Dear WA community,
I have been contacted yesterday by an app in my niche to write a review about their product and they asked me how much I charge for the article. I have n

I would definitely investigate the app first to see if it's a company you actually want to represent on your site, as @TheAbie mentioned.

I would also make clear that you'll mark the post as "sponsored", to maintain the integrity of your own brand.

In terms of cost, it's really up to you. You could go cheap, and do $50 to build a portfolio and track the success of your sponsored content to then market yourself at higher costs later, to other brands. You could also go more expensive, like $100, and just see what happens.

Social media influencers with millions of followers get paid $10,000+ per single post, so if you can do numbers, the sky is the limit with how much you charge. It just depends on what type of results you can deliver.

You need request and then charge accordingly. I also would do a due diligence before I transact.

In more details:

If incoming, I would do my due diligence, are they acting on their behalf or is it through an agency. If it sounds too good to be true I walk away. Also if the client website isn't up to standard, they may drag your website downhill.

Outgoing, I would want to know who I am publishing with and is it going to help my business, provided they've accepted my guest post.
