My first $
Sometimes... life is hard really hard. Like your marriage almost falls apart, then your hubby loses his job and you move across the country, to then only make less then half of what he used to and has to commute an hour and a half because you can't afford a place on your own close to where your husband works, which forces you to rely on family who takes you in.
It's frustrating.
So, I took some time off. Which really doesn't make a whole lot of sense since making this blog successful might be the answer to a few of these frustrations. I would encourage you to press on, otherwise you lose all that time you could have been progressing.
Regardless, I took some time off and now I'm back.
Aaand I just found out that last year I earned.... wait for it..... $5.08!!! It's amazing! I actually made money even when I took most of the year off. And just the fact that I made anything lets me know that this could actually work!
Sooo... that's awesome.

Damn right it could work if you just keep up with it. NEVER GIVE UP. I know taking a break is NOT giving up persay...but, if you restart and being writing quality articles and Posting every day...there is no limit on how much income you can make.
My buddy, has been active with his photography site for about 5 years. After 3 years, he made $505,000 in 2016. In one year he made that much,,...no joke. He is not a WA member. But, anyway, it is possible. You can make enough money to cover BOTH of your incomes. But, it takes time and I know you don't want to hear that. You could get lucky as some have with a certain niche or lucky timing or something.
I don't count on getting lucky, I just work hard posting every day and watching my traffic numbers slowly, slowly increase in number as well as my revenues from various affiliate site widgets I have up on about 3 different sites.
I'm in this a year with one site and the income is NOT where I wish it would be. But I will continue moving forward with it and I am hoping for a big break or bounce or bump in the coming months since I have 12+ months of managing this site. The income is not enough to make this my full time job YET. But, that is my goal and I will reach it come hell or high water.

I know what you mean I have been there before and still there in other ways. Many blessings to you! I tell you though. No worries. It could be worst. And it building SEO is a long process anyway. So we should not be in a rush. Just keep on chopping down those trees my friend.
We will get there no matter what. Busy Beavers just chop down trees so we can have a Financial home in the WWW River.

Looking at the glass half full is critical to your success!! doing what seems like the non obvious move is also important. I just left my job, because I was not happy. Yeah I need the money but you know what, No I don't, I want to be happy and that is what is important. I hope you find happiness in your journey!!!!

Hello and thanks for sharing. It is this kind of sharing that motivates me. I get frustrated too, and get sluggish.
I seem to have the "get it done" and the "not today" syndrome.
I need to be motivated to have more 'get it done' days.

Congratulations Lisa!!! This happened to me too when I least expected. I had my site up and running with a couple of affiliate links. Left it for a couple of months, then checked my affiliate account recently to see that I had made some sales... !! It's a great feeling.

Wow, that's great, congratulations. And you're right it does go to show that you're on the right track because you did something right to make that $5.08.
