Am I in the right track?

Hi WA Family,

Here's a screenshot of my page visits since Dec 4 (which is the day I started with Google Analytics). So this is from Dec 4 till present.

I haven't had any sales yet to be honest and I recently just added affiliate links to my site just a couple of days ago. Am I on the right track? I'm having thoughts that maybe majority of these visits might have been from our own WA community whenever we do post links. Ha! Just a newbie thought.

Anyway, any thoughts?

Thank you guys.

Well you've had 175 unique page views. Some of these may be from crawlers as well as us. Another consideration is your visitors may or may not have been targeted visitors. In other words they may not have been looking for exactly what you were offering.

Just keep writing content targeting your keywords. Remember to have your keyword in your article title. This is the first signal to the search engines telling them what your content is about. The keyword should be at the beginning of your title.

Use your Keyword in your first sentence to your content. Try to keep your keyword density a little above 1%. Bold your keyword at least once, italicize once and underline once. Don't go overboard. These provide additional signals to the search engines.

There is more to on page SEO. More than I can cover here. I did find a post in WA that covers a lot of that. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/11-simple-tips-to-great-on-page-seo

Next I would suggest setting up a YouTube channel. Name your Channel the same as your website. In the defaults put a link back to your site.

Do a daily video blog. Point them back to your blog. Videos can be super short. Use keyword in description and link back to your blog.

Build a Facebook page. Use a Vanity URL. Name it after your blog. Posts back to your site.

Well that's just a few suggestions to start. I know it seems like a lot. But those things will increase your targeted traffic exponentially. Targeted traffic equal sales.

Just keep plugging away, keep learning, keep improving and keep doing.

Lord Bless

Mark explains it well - I only add that it does take time to build traffic, this we know. This is only Dec 12, so 8 days of tracking - not a big sample. Keep patience, keep promoting, keep posting. Traffic will come...

Hi - that's a pretty straight line! It's hard to tell if it is WA'ers reviewing your site - have "we" left you many comments, either on the post you publicised it on within WA, or on your actual website?

I would expect after a period of days, your post asking for reviews, would sink deeper as new posts are added - and the likelyhood of people from WA coming to your site, would decrease. So if the traffic is still coming days after you posted here - there's a good chance it's genuine visitors.

One other way to tell, is look at the Acquisition -> Overview within analytics. This will show you Organic visits, Direct and Referral. Also Keywords -> Organic - to see how people are finding your site.

If it's from WA, they're likely to be within the Direct group - if not, then the Keywords section will show you what people are typing to find you. Lots in here, means lots of genuine visitors.

I hope it's the latter for you - and the line continues to climb!!

All the best, Mark

Hey Mark,

Thanks for the insight and the mini tutorial. Will look into that right now.

Cheers Bro
