End of the 1st Week of Retirement
Well, the 1st week of retirement is coming to a close and although I don't feel like I accomplished much I do feel that I did put in the effort.
I live streamed my workouts Monday and Wednesday and failed to on Friday (today: more about that later).
I live streamed my combat game on Tuesday evening, our Father/Daughter game on Wednesday morning and my Go game on Thursday evening on Twitch.
We added three videos to my vlogging Youtube channel, one that is awaiting the vendors approval to put on Amazon. We also added a different one to our Amazon store.
I've watched lessons 1-5 of Kyle's Affiliate Bootcamp and with that done a bunch of the tasks that go with it.
Today was a weird day. I stayed up too late last night and got up too early this morning. So I ended up taking a nap for a couple hours after breakfast, which is why I missed my workout today. The Mrs wanted to to go ARC thrift store and Goodwill store in Longmont so I spent 4 hours waiting for her to window shop. But, it wasn't wasted time for me. I walked to Starbucks (15 minute walk) had a coffee while watching Kyle's Bootcamp videos mentioned above. Walked back to the car (15 minute walk). Had another Starbucks session. Bought a gift card for my daughter for Christmas since she frequently stops at Starbucks.
Could I have forced myself to do more? Yes. But then, it would feel like a job and not doing something that I enjoy. Do I need to earn more money right now? No. So, it's better to take it slower and enjoy life in the process.
How productive or enjoyable was your week?
Cheers!
Les

I have a similar attitude - do I need to earn more money? No. So, I may as well go at my own pace and enjoy life. I am not one for sitting watching TV either. At the moment I have so many interesting projects going on that I can't see myself getting bored.
Enjoy your first retirement weekend.

Yes, I totally agree and here I am at 0500 Saturday morning replying to comments and loving it.
Good to hear you enjoyed your week. That's something you have to remember. You have retired. Enjoy everything you do without the pressure of having to perform. Chill bro 😀
Yes, exactly. And, really it's thanks to a conversation I had with my daughter that I finally realized this.
Hey, Les.
We all have those days. You just have to go with the flow and not let it stop you. In other words, get back to it tomorrow, the way you have your schedule planned out.
I have played a game called Pente.' My uncle said it was "Go." Who do you play with? Is it online? if so, can you provide a link? Thanks.\

I think you had a pretty darn productive week! I get it though. This will be my second December not dealing with the Christmas chaos at my old job. It still feels a little strange. Enjoy having coffee breaks whenever you want them. Isn't it wonderful 😊
It certainly is!
