SPIDERS are CRAWLING all over your website...!
Last Update: Oct 7, 2013
As a newbie I didn't have a clue wehn I heard some folk recently talking about Google's deep crawl's and spiders crawling on an ad-hoc basis...!
I thought I'd better find out a bit more. Therefore I Googled (of course!) for some more information.
Courtsey of dummies.com I gather that Google does a deep crawl once a month and launches "spiders" (automated software programs) at an ad hoc frequency to carry out less in depth crawls.
These pesky 'arachnids' are clever enough to use the data they gather to work out if the content on your site is fresh & updated or not.
Therefore KEEP YOUR CONTENT FRESH & UPDATED to maintain or improve your ranking.
For those more experienced WA veterans it would be good if you could share your experiences on this (Thank you in advance).
I'm off to dust off my old 'arachnophobia' DVD!
I don't like spiders normally, but these arachnids I can happily accept. It took them a bit of time to find my site but they are getting there. It would be interesting to find out the answer to the question, as to how often a website needs updating once profitable to maintain the equilibrium. Great blog.
Thanks, I hope it's no more than weekly / bi-weekly, but it would be good to get some validation.
Like you, I'd like to hear from some of the WA veterans on how often they continue to add content to their website after it has become profitable to them. Is it a daily update? Weekly? Bi-weekly? Monthly? How often do they blog once they are making a living online?
As would I, i joined recently and I've been worried of how often I should post content. I've been focusing primarily on learning from the videos.

Keeping your site clean and adding content for your readers, tweaking with added headings and images or video. Bringing back a content page reformatted into an info graphic or making landing pages and static pages to keep your site on the go and inviting to the reader. Just thought I'd quickly add things I have learned 'veterans' do. Be sure and add the plugin All SEO and sign up to Google Plus and Analytics. Am following you LeoJames, so any other questions, please ask. And keep dusting! ^_~
Great advice, many thanks.
