My Password Generator Step
Creating passwords can be a pain. You need to make them long enough (minimum 12 characters). My passwords are 24 characters.
You need upper and lower case, symbols and numbers. So picking those out of the air is difficult.
So if you're like a lot of people you will use a free password generator to create passwords.
And that's perfectly fine to do. But if you're the security crazy guy like I am when I use a password generator I go one step further to ensure the security of that password.
Ok I used a free password generator - here's the one I use https://passwordsgenerator.net/
So here's a password it created - HAE%6@4RKnjMve<agFxcU#{N
Strong, but here's what I do. My additional step is I cut the password in half and then place the back half at the start of the password. So now my password looks like this:
njMve<agFxcU#{NHAE%6@4RK
Now I know I have a totally random and unique password.
Sure you don't need to do this. But one thing I know when it comes to being online every little step for security is a step well taken.

12 is a loooong password!
But you are right; security is so important, more critical than many understand.
It took me a long time to start using the password bank, mostly because I didn´t trust it at first, and then it took time to choose someone I trusted.
I use Bitdefender, mostly because I have great experience with it! It costs, but about the security, I don´t want to take chances. And because of the work I was in, I know statistics, which made me use them only for all security: virus defender, VPN (yes, it works and is important, sorry, Jay!), and the password bank.
I think the most shock was that when I started to use the password bank I showed that I had close to 700 passwords. I don´t want to give up the system I used before, but it has always worked!
And now I take a period to reduce these passwords, so now I have only 600 plus!
12 is actually short, but it is very secure. But as I said my passwords are a minimum of 24.
I don't use any programs or plugins to manage passwords. Simple because it provides an opportunity for a breach. Just ask people that used Last Pass.
And dame!!! 700 passwords
Yes, the Last pass was not good. I was there, but as soon as Bitdefender came in with the password bank, I jumped. I have researched great neutral companies about them plus more things, so I am relaxing.
But of course, it is important to change each month.
