Working Hard On My Dream Future
Hello my WAmily, I haven't been seen here much lately and I miss you but I feel I really need to work on the content for my website and youtube channel. I am logged on to WA every day looking for keywords in jaaxy and reading and commenting on one or two posts that just pop out but that's all.
At first I would like to say that if any of you wants to share some life experience with me or ask me something, please send me private message, or write on my profile page. Why am I saying that? Because I happen to find messages under my older WA posts by chance and sometimes it is quite a personal message. I love getting these messages and replying (and sometimes encouraging) but I usually don't get notified about these comments/messages.
I think it is because I have my e-mails notifications switched off and I want to keep it this way because the e-mail address I inserted when I signed up with WA is my business e-mail address where I get translations and requests for lessons. I can't get it flooded with e-mails about every comment and every new post. I hope you understand.
What were my last weeks like? I've been on a schedule of two blog posts and two videos a week at the moment and I would like to keep that. Still want to get to 50-60 posts before summer so my focus is completely on that.
I've heard a few times that I should beware of not getting burned out. I know it happens often when someone works too hard and doesn't get a rest. I do have a rest (although my brain still keeps thinking) every day, go for walks etc. I enjoy everything what I do.
I feel it's necessary to put all the effort into my online business. In January and February there has been a big decrease in the amount of translations and to me it feels as if the universe was telling me "this is your mission and you have all the time you need so work on it." And I enjoy it because it's my passion. My website whatyouneedforbeauty dot com (my 3rd website) is something I am proud of. Same with my youtube channel.

Good Morning Lenka,
One should be careful one does not suffer the burn out syndrome. Having this hobby/business still should be fun otherwise there would be no big difference with a 9 to 5 job type situation.

I am aware it is common to get burned out and so I relax often, also meditate and go for walks. I don't mind working more hours than I was if I had a 9 to 5 job if it leads to results. I actually think that it is much more demotivating not to get results and still keep going so I'm doing the best I can to see some results soon. It is not easy in my niche (I think you are in a similar niche, aren't you?).

Thank you Taetske, I surely will keep smiling! And I hope we will see each other this spring. We are planning to go to Andalusia in the second half of May for about 3 weeks, I can't wait. It is really nasty weather here in CZ right now.

Yeah, focusing on the content is the best thing we can do, in spite of other theories content is still the most important thing. I'm sure you'll get there too!
You are absolutely right to focus on your content, this is what I have been doing for several months and I see the fruits today. So keep on going!

You are doing well. I can do the two blogs a week, but it takes me two weeks to do a video! It takes that long just to find all the necessary photos, quotes, and to write the script. (I'm using Screencast-o-matic and PowerPoint slides.) I do love doing the videos, but they take me 'way too long.
I think you have a much more difficult work Fran, photos and quotes plus writing the script, that's a lot of work. I can make the videos more often because I just write 4 or 5 points and then just talk. It takes about half an hour to record it and then my boyfriend makes the final video so it is not much work for me. It's writing what takes me ages.
