Website Indexed Fast (In Just 1 Day)
Hello dear friends, I want to share with you my excitement about having a new website indexed very quickly. Last week I bought a new domain, the day after I put up a theme and set up the SEO as we know it from the training and in just over 30 hours the site was indexed.
So people can find my artwork in Google from now on :)
There are only a few drawings and pictures on the site, it takes time to put it all there but I will keep working on it.
The entire proces of setting up a website is quicker with every new website. First time is always the hardest and longest.
The domain name was only 13.90, I think it's a great price for a .com domain. Hosting is free for premium members so I have hosting sorted. This is my third site hosted at WA.
Adding the pictures of my work taken with my phone is not as easy as it used to be though because iphone started to save everything in a .HEIC format which can't be uploaded to any place. I also can't upload pictures from my phone to this post.
I figured out that I can upload the pictures to Canva though. Strange, but true. So I have to upload all drawings and paintings there and download them to my notebook as .jpg. Then I can put them on the website.
A little bit more time consuming but I'm glad I found a way :)
So now I can keep drawing and painting and work on the improvements of my website. If you want to see how it looks, it is on my profile.

I have a Samsung smartphone, but I'm sure there some settings somewhere on your iPhone where you can probably switch from that .HEIC format to jpeg. 🤔

My website was indexed right after I published my first post (even less than 500 words) in April, so I checked with Kyle if I had received a wrong information, but he told me that it was because of WA's AIO SEO from his lesson 6 (Level 1). I wonder if a quality of content has nothing to do it? Yes or No?
I don't know Tomoko, google is a mystery regarding indexing and ranking, I mean the principles we are taught work but no one knows how long google takes and what are their reasons for some sites to index faster or rank higher. It's a complex thing.
Indeed. Google is like a God. At this point, I feel that we should follow our own intuition with the principles we are taught here. My definition of a content with quality is: the one I would be happy to see if I were a visitor.

Go to Settings > Camera.
Tap Formats.
Tap Most Compatible. This setting is available only on devices that can capture media in HEIF or HEVC format, and only when using iOS 11 or later.
All new photos and videos will now use JPEG or H. 264 format.
Thank you very much Alyse. I'm afraid though that the settings will change at the next iOS update but for now it's sorted :)
