Hello WA friends,
we returned from our holiday yesterday and when I signed in to WA to see what's new, a one year dedication badge popped out. So I thought it was time to write a summary of my first WA year journey.

Learning with WA

When I joined WA, I already had a website, being a freelancer. But I had not a big knowledge of SEO and zero knowledge of affiliate marketing.

After becoming a premium member I created a MMO website and beginning of this year also a site about health and beauty. Actually, I've always been interested in nutrition but writing about things related to health is extremely hard to rank in google and hugely competitive. That's why I focus more on skin-related topics; I focus on keywords with low traffic and I can see some slow progress on the traffic.

I learned a lot about SEO and keywords (and there is still a ton to learn), found out how easy it was to start another website (it gets easier with every other one) and I started learning more about writing engaging content. Still hard for me as I tend to write more like writing a thesis than talking to a friend :) But I believe we can improve in everything, it just takes time and dedication.

I also have been learning about YouTube a lot and plan to continue with my channel more regularly.

Websites & Earnings

At the moment, I have an MMO website, a beauty website and a new site with my paintings that is still in the beginning stage. The beauty site is my main focus.

There are 16 articles on my MMO site and 47 on my beauty site.

My MMO website brought 3 referrals, none of them premium yet. With just 16 posts on that site I consider it not a bad result.

My beauty website that's slowly getting to 50 articles has earned $11 in amazon commissions. It is not much but I'm happy about it because it shows the process works. It just needs more time, more content and bigger activity on social media.

Friendship

What I value most is the community here. I've been a member to other online programs and some of them provide great information but none of them has such a supporting community with so many positive and cheerful people. I'd say in general that WAers are dreamers and have a good heart. The pay it forward mentality is just incredible.

I've met some people in WA who I consider my close friends even though I've never seen them in person. However, I managed to meet up with Taetske, our dear member, just a few days ago!

Knowing she's been living in the south of Spain, my favourite part of the world where we go on holiday every year, I wrote Taetske the exact time and she invited me and my boyfriend to spend some time with her and Michael. We spent a beautiful evening together, had perfect steaks with a delicious salad and it was truly the best part of our holiday.

The picture above is where we were sitting in her garden with beautiful flowers around.

I'm not good at taking pictures so there are not many I can proudly show off. But I like the one I used as cover picture on this post and as it gets cropped there I am inserting it in the full size here again.

Meeting up with people who have similar view of life and interests is so refreshing and nice. I hope we will have an opportunity to see each other again next year.

I would also love to meet other WA friends but travelling is not as easy as it used to be with all the covid craze. Well, we have to hope it will get better.

Looking forward to what 2021 will bring! More friends, more meetups, more traffic? It's been an exciting journey for sure.

Have you met any WA friend in real or would you like to?

Love
Lenka

Hey, Lenka,

A year already! We started around the same time then. I received the same notification from WA last week but have been busy and haven't had the time to write a post about it.

Congratulations on your first anniversary! I can assure you you're one of the most dedicated WAers I've met along this journey.

How can you manage three sites? I have two, and at times I feel like getting rid of one of them lol.

I also agree with you regarding the community here. WAers are nice and helpful for the most part. I'm glad to be part of this community. I'd love to meet some of them for sure.

Thanks for the update. It's always nice hearing from you.

Enrique

Hey Enrique, my friend,
I have to tell you I can't manage more than one website either! :) I always only work on one of them, the other ones are on hold. That's why the traffic is always getting better only on the one I currently work on. I'm going forward very slowly.

But the amount of information I've been constantly learning from all sources is huge. I believe it will all pay off one day.

To be a successful blogger is a full time job and we can only do what we can, going slowly forward towards our goals.

Nice to hear from you. I hope we can meet one day too!
Lenka

Yes, a single blog is demanding. I would only have one if it were not for the current health crisis. Many of us had to change niches.

I hope we meet someday too. :)

Enrique

Congratulations, Lenka, of a year membership. And of coming to Spain to visit :)
We don't have a guest room like Taetske (lucky you, Taetske), but next time you are in Spain, you sure are welcome for coffee and/or lunch in the province of Murcia.
And to answer your question: no, I haven't met a WA-er in real yet, but that'll come in due time :)

greetings,
Hannie

That's very nice, Hannie, I'll keep that in mind! Do you live near the sea? Murcia is a nice region as well.

A half hours drive from the sea, so that's not too bad. We live at the foot of a nature park (Sierra Espuña) which we love because of the mountain hikes!

That sounds great! Having both mountains and the sea is just the best.

Congrats on your first anniversary. It is always wonderful to meet friends, new and old. I am definitely hoping for easier travel soon so meet ing other WA'ers will be easier. Having to self isolate every time you go somewhere makes it rather awkward. I wish you all the best moving forward.

Thank you Richard. I hope we can travel more and be able to meet more WA friends in future.

Hi Lenka,

I am so glad you had such a good time and it must be so interesting to meet a friend in person.

Your progress with three websites although challenging appears to be something you have under control and your priorities come across as in your capable hands!!;

There are so many I would love to sit down and have a conversation with including you!! lols

Welcome back and back to your awesome weeks starting tomorrow!! ;

Have a good night!

R.

Thank you Rami, well I love Scotland and if we ever go there again which I hope we will in future, I'd love to meet up for a coffee or beer :)

You are most welcome as you would be if we were fortunate to meet, it wouldn't have to be in Scotland either with the way things are going Lenka!! haha

Have a great day!!;

R.

Hi Lenka,

Congratulations on your first anniversary! Looking forward to greater success in 2021!

Simply awesome! It must have been exciting to meet up with a member in peron! You have a beautiful picture to capture the moment which I am sure you will cherish for years to come.

Wishing you the very best!

Kind regards,
Nichola

It was really great and special and I only wish there were more opportunities like that. Thank you for your kind wishes, Nichola. All the best to you as well!

I am sure it was! We all wish that we could have this experience. You are welcome. Thank you!
