Excited About My First Earnings
Today I thought I would check on Amazon whether there were some commissions and to be honest I didn't expect anything.
Surprisingly, I found $3.34 in commissions there!! Together with about $1.5 in AdSense I made my first few dollars. Almost five! It is not big earnings but it's the beginning.
The nicest thing is not the money itself but the feeling that it all makes sense and someone actually reads what I write. The traffic doesn't look like that so far.
So I'm gonna keep writing. Still a long way to the 100 posts, only have 23 for now.
As to the coronavirus, our country is closed now, there are 140 cases but seeing how quick it has been spreading in Italy and other countries, the government decided to close schools, cinemas and theatres, cancel all gatherings and close boarders.
But I stay positive, I believe we should not be scared. Careful, but not scared. Expect the best. Our mind is powerful.

Although it is just a small notch in your belt toward success, however, it is a significant one, to say the least. The best thing about that very first sale (at least for me it was) is that it validates that the system works, and you are doing it correctly. The amount at this point is irrelevant, because with each commission you make from here on out, it will force that number to continue to climb and eventually over time it will surpass your goals - I am sure of it!
Starting out as an amateur is something none of us has been able to avoid, we all have to learn at our own pace to become experts at anything we do in life: if we pursue it long enough. By overcoming any of the obstacles that may present themselves to us, will lead us to the level that we wish to reach easier and (in your case) sooner.
Now all you have to do is go out there and duplicate it over and over again (to reach financial freedom from a boss and take your existing business ventures to the next level).

That's my plan, Calvin, writing more and more articles although I don't feel like a writer, never have. But I believe it's a skill that can be learnt and I also think that each of us has something to share with the world. Our experience and knowledge.
So I will continue writing.

Congratulations! Lenka, the joy that you feel is infectious, just like coronavirus! Our country is closed too, there are 10 now, within a day and we are advised to stay indoors, though the sun is shining brightly outside!
What should we do? turn inwards? Where ever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. Continue the journey, Lenka. Blessings abound and you will not fail!

If I may ask, how long did it take to get to this point? I'm new and quite curious to see the time frame it takes people to get their first earnings. Also, what kind of niche did you decide to target?

I'm in a very competitive niche, beauty/nutrition/anti-aging. My life-long passion is nutrition for health and beauty.
It's important to have realistic expectations. It takes between 3 to 6 months to see real results because our new websites are not taken seriously by google, there are sites that are many years old and have hundreds or thousands of articles.
With time you gain trust. My result is more like an exception, I didn't expect it so early because my website is 9 weeks old.
That's actually really cool! Thanks for the info, I had heard someone say wait about 6 months for any kind of real earnings, and it's awesome that you got your first earnings in just 9 weeks.

Absolutely, Valerie, I just wash my hands every time I come back home and that's all. I hope my immune system is ok, and I work from home so I don't get into contact with many people.
