Where Did THAT Come From?
Welll...what do ya know? I've reached a milestone already that was a little unexpected.
I opened my browser this morning and low and behold...I seem to have made the Top 200! :) Very cool! But that's just the beginning!
I know moving forward that number will only get smaller, but it's what gets bigger that counts:
- Friendships
- Associations/Parnerships
- Sense of Accomplishment
- Email lists
- Website
- Bank Account
...and not necessarily in that order...
As my business grows, so will my desire to do greater things, help more people, make more money...but for me it's not just about the money. It's about the freedom!- Freedom to do what I want, when I want..
- Back to being my own boss again
- Not having to struggle with keeping employees
- Not wondering if I can afford my next cup of joe (or bottle of wine!)
- Spending time with my 8 wonderful grandchildren!
Whatever dreams may come, I'm ready to live up to the necessary goals I must set to achieve them.
Tell yourself you desire your freedom again and again and again...
You may be surprised just how quickly you can attain things, if you desire them enough.

The ranking is motivational and fun to watch, but it doesn't make us money. I went to Hana for a week. It is so far in the booneys that I had no internet connection. My ranking went from 179 to around 500 in that week of disconnect. It is gradually creeping back towards 200.
Don't worry about rank. Just help where you can, continue to study and join the ranks of successful IM pros.
I believe in having a backup plan. It is called being resilient. Having an income we can depend on when disaster strikes enables us to handle the situation and move on. We may love our job. I have a friend who had to move into long term care. They sold their home to be able to afford the $15000/mo cost of long term care in Hawaii. I'm building my business so when the time comes, I will have the monthly income that will allow me to survive in comfort.
Absolutely Bill! What you're saying some may not fully grasp. Some use Plan "B" as a way out if Plan "A" fails...but in reality its not good to have a plan B, keeps you from succeeding with Plan "A"
"...to the top...to a deluxe apartment in the...." wait a minute! I live on the river...I ain't movin'! :)
Mindset is powerful......I even use motivational and subliminal tapes sometimes to 'stay on track'.....no room for negativity.....
He has a bunch of them. He actually says he failed 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb! :)
Just another milestone, but they do add up to something when the numbers go smaller. Does that make sense? Of course it does, and you're right to focus on making your business bigger as the rank numbers gets smaller.
Our Founders designed it to mean something. It means you've been contributing to the WA community. Well done Leland. God bless.....

Way to go, and you stated everything so well from where rank doesn't matter it is what comes after that that really counts; freedom to do what you want and have time and money to do it! Thanks for sharing!
Congratz on Top200 :) This was a great post and it helps motivate me for the future. I don't want to make this about me or make the scene sad but yesterday I had a mental breakdown and seeing the success of others today has really boosted me so I want to thank you for this post as it means more to me than you may think.
We all have what Rob Fore calls our own "hurts, habits and hangups"...I've been where you were numerous times, or at least close! It's a sign that your desire is welling up inside you to the point you're ready to burst!
I highly recommend you read the book I left a link to...it will help you establish a direction and step by step plan to reach your goals!
Besides, we're all together on this journey, though each and every one of us has our own direction, the end result is a shared experience.
