WhooHoo! Boy, was I bummed. Just when I was picking up on the learning curve here on WA, my cheap-o laptop DIED, CRASHED and BURNED!!!! Can you say.....sidetracked! However, since "smartphones" are so smart :-), I was still able to keep up with what was going on! So, now I am rededicating my time and going back over what I had previously learned to "freshen up" on what I need to do to get my blogs running smoothly.

I have a small amount of traffic and they are on there about 14 min average. Not a huge success to some but a major success for me! No sales yet...but that's ok. I have content that I have to post and videos to load on YT!

ROLLING, ROLLING, ROLLING!

So, just to get back on the ball, I wanted to start by asking if we can hold ourselves accountable for the time investment that is needed to grow our businesses.

So, I will start it off!

This week:

-Post at least 3 quality content articles on my blog and Ping it!

-Write at least 1 Street Article and post (ping)

-Share on G+, Pinterest, Tweeter and FB (3 times this week)

-Invite at least 5 folks that I know who are operating businesses (Mom and Pop style)

When I get a good following and begin to create my wealth as I see it (and I do see it!), I will and shall buy an Apple!

hope your endeavours pay fruit, I had a similar scenario several months ago thankfully before I joined WA where my laptop hard drive just gave up and died. Had been giving me errrors from day 1 and i spent a lot of time doing virus scans, disk checks and a regular defragging cycle. The laptop lasted 3yrs but pressure from my partner and what I knew inside, it was time to get a macbook. I recieved a tax rebate and bought the macbook pro15" and I can say it has improved my workflow immensly. ai edit a lot of photos and work with audio, on my mac everything is smooth and glitch free and because the macbooks now all have SSD's they are fast and maintenance free, so all those lost hours doin scans and such is now used wisely and to my benefit.

I hate to admit it but i am a bit of a Apple fanboy now the investment is high but the rewards are just as high.

Dave

Can't wait to get one.

I feel for you I also have had Computer problems... After you make the up grade it should be easy going for you. I too am working from smart that I just got over holidays now waiting for the new year to buy something that works lol good luck to you

Fortunately mine has not crashed yet but I am on holiday with a wireless dongle and limited data which is a bit limiting. I will be able to use the ADSL again on the first of January 2014.

Try stopping at your near by neighborhood used computer store, you might find you some goodies in the waiting. David.

Good idea. Hadn't thought about the local computer stores...only Best buy (with the astronomical prices!) Maybe I will do that! Thanks. Maybe I can get them to join. ;-)

OUCH! I too can sympathize with you Ladawn. Computers are our friends until they decide to not work anymore and it always seems to happen at the wrong time. I remember the computer at my job (crappy Dell computers) would always go down when I had an important update that had to go out to a client. - I hope none of you have a Dell, I'm not a fan if you haven't guessed. - When it came time for me to buy my personal laptop I went with the Sony Vaio and I have never had any problems. So if you are into PCs I recommend the Sony Vaio but Apple is good as well. I love using my iPad for those times I'm too lazy to get out of bed and walk the short distance to my home office. Technology can be great sometimes. :)

Thank Goodness for technology. When it's your friend :-)

My last laptop before my beloved Macbook was a Dell XPS 1640, nice looking, good specs unfortunately I reckon the Hard Drive was suspect from day1. The thing I like about my mac is that via VMWare (or parallels) software I can run windows as a separate entity on my mac without rebooting, as a virtual machine. This allows me to use windows specific software to achieve tasks that I either don't have the software for on Mac or I don't know how to do yet. I can also use windows for gaming.

p.s. Blogpad Pro is an excellent app for the iPad for editing your website, it has better functionality than the wordpress app.

Ugh! Nothing worse than a computer meltdown. Good for you to be plunging forward with your list and for dangling a nice reward for yourself. I've never had an Apple computer, but I'm addicted to my iPad Mini.

Oh Ladawn - You have my sympathy. There's nothing worse than computer problems when you're all ready to go full steam ahead. Glad you're back on the ball. Good luck

Thank you Beverley.

That Apple is sitting there with your name on it, Ladawn! With your enthusiasm and "won't quit" attitude it's sure to happen. I'm really impressed that you didn't stop your activity because your laptop crashed and burned--it might have stopped me. What an excellent example you set for others.

Thank you. It's hard moving forth with your dreams and aspirations. Let's get it!
