GDPR Compliance - Should We Be Worried? Is WA Prepared?

Early in 2012, the European Commission made plans for GPDR (General Data Protection Regulation) reform across the European Union. In 2016, an agreement was reached on what and what are involved and how it would be enforced in particular.

This new European framework is applicable to all organisations across the member-states. It also has implications for businesses and individuals operating in Europe and beyond.

One of my main concerns for writing this post is that there are fines of up to €20 million, or 4% of global annual turnover, whichever is higher.

At Welathy Affiliate, should we be worried about GPDR? Are we prepared for it?

I haven't seen a GDPR section yet or am I missing it?

I'd be grateful if the community can discuss it.

Thank you all.

I put the Disclosure on my website but I honestly don't think we have too much to worry about. If we were collecting user data on our websites, we would have to take extreme measures to make sure that the data remains safe. Since we don't do that, I don't think we have a lot to worry about.

Good points- looking forward to seeing the answers. You might want to look at Suzanne Dibbles FB group https://www.facebook.com/groups/GDPRforonlineentrepreneurs had to go through this GDPR process when I was doing GDPR for an Australian company that marketed worldwide. The group is a closed group but you should still be able to join it, if not let me know. The information on that site is very good.

Type GDPR in the search box above you will find some takes on that
