Laursens journey
So I think this is the right time to start up my blog and be more active within the WA community.
To be completely honest the last few weeks has been really messy for me. From starting out with a plan, to being totally confused ending up cancelling my WA membership and quitting. I woke up the next morning thinking hell no. I have researched this internet marketing area so much now that I have reached way over “the point of no return”. I want this to be a success so I started taking action. I have been writing articles and changing niches and now I finally found out what this is all about. I’m not saying I have the key to success but I’m sure that success is not far away.
I stopped thinking “I’m going to give internet marketing six months” and started thinking of how I can make this success happen. There is only one way for me now. That is trying and trying until I reach success. And if it takes 2 years that is what it will take. I’m going to try, and if I fail I will change my approach a bit until I hit jackpot.
Most importantly I started setting up goals. I made myself a journal with short and long term goals and a journal with my work that will get updated each and every day. These journals will help me document what I have tried so I won’t make the same mistake twice.
I started digging for more information about link wheels, google panda and what this is all about. I bought a few good Make money online programs and the pieces started to make sense. Thanks to PotPieGirl and her oneweekmarketing.com and Travis from Bummarketingmethod.com I now finally understand how this work. I guess that WA was not enough even though I see most of the information learned my PotPieGirl and Travis are right here in this very community. But hearing it from other people who have success in here was what really made me change my mind.
So now I’m off to work with a master plan and hopefully I will taste the sweet success in one of my upcoming niche works.

Hey Laursen, that's good you have motivation. Without motivation behind Internet Marketing, YOU WON'T MAKE IT. You have to keep at it & not give up. Most people on here won't tell you the methods they use to make money, but I'll help you 1 on 1 if you need it. I'm sure PotPieGirl and Travis know quite a bit, but the people I thank for where I'm at now are on my webpage at slayton1s . (om. Alongside that, there are a lot of other great people in Wealthy Affiliate that would be happy to help you also.
Keep in mind everybody has there own strategy of advertising things online. I know that my dad was one of top salesman in the U.S. with Terminix back in 1998, and he could probably teach most of the top people in here quite a bit. I will tell you that 2 key factors are relating to your audience and using the right psychological approach. When he talked to people, he knew how to strike a conversation and make that sale. That's what you have to do to succeed online along with continuously working at it.
Lastly, try not to get tied up in all the technical jazz online. Are you more worried about Google or are you more worried about the people & making sales?

Thank you for taking your time to write this.
I think I did get too tied up in all the technical stuff which almost made me quit after a months time. In my everyday I work with IT solutions far more technical than this, and I guess I am where I am today because I did not quit. That among other things helped me decide that quiting is not an option.

Love the fact you changed your mind the next day...we're all the same here I believe..we can fail but we can never ever give up
I guess I don't know the word quitting lol. A lot of people have success in here, and some don't and quit. When I first got here, I knew it would take me a year and maybe more to success. But the information in here almost killed me. I had no idea where to start and what my goals were. What was I even doing?
It was my intension to give it a try for 6 months, but after a month I still did not know what I was doing and time was running. It started to stress me, so I decided to quit. Until the morning I got up I changed my mind lol. I changed the decision to try for six months to go for success no matter the time it would take. :)

Some of us find this career a little more challenging to get traction in... took a while, almost 2 years, for me to make some real money. Still not a big producer but yesterday I had another "Franklin" day and all I could think was "I need to do this every day!" Then I started laughing to myself... I can remember how excited I was for the first one.. now it is just meh... Don't give up... keep at it and you will meet and exceed your goals. Oh and buy the way there are many here that are as successful as Travis or Jennifer and even more so... not counting K&C and I don't mean chicken...lol We are who we associate with!
So true. I'm going to stick around and I will for sure use this community which I haven't before writing this blog. What I have done so far is browsing the forum and going through the training material which did help me get even more confused.

I guess what I was missing was the direction to go. After I found this I could make my plan and start out. Now I won't give up and I will do my best. :-)

You have the right attitude. You can't come in thinking it's a possibility you'll fail. Maybe you get lucky, but if you don't then you quit. If you come in thinking "alright, it works I just have to figure out how" then you'll keep at it. I agree, it takes some personal testimony and reference to really get a grasp on things. I'm glad you found your motivation and can tell you if you stick with it, there is no doubt that you'll get where you want to be.
Yes it really motivated me to finally finding my way and making a plan. It motivates me even more to get replies from you guys. I can't thank you enough for taking your time to comment, :-)
