Log into your site dashboard and navigate to Appearance > Menus. Click on your About tab and change the URL field to a pound symbol. Save your changes.
Create a custom menu item with s # in the URL field. Here's a screenshot of mine on one of my sites. Notice the css codes too. This makes it non-clickable.

Just a quick question. I have posted a blog, and in the blog I have multiple quotes pulled from different websites, with the website link next to each section. When I post this
That will depend on Google. Did you use parentheses with your quotes?
Here's a little something for you to look at that may help.

I did use parentheses. The article was a little over my head, seemed to have a lot to do with coding. I appreciate your reply though!

Hi there!
I'm having issues with my "pure and simple" wordpress themed website. The homepage has a nice big area for a banner image. I can change this image by going to my w
here you go
To remove the Banner from all but the homepage, copy and paste into Design > Custom CSS:
1. :not(.homepage) #banner-area-wrapper {
2. display: none;
3. }
Appearances, Customize, Additional CSS should do it ok if your theme doesn't have an editor or you can't access it.
Sorry, realized I entered the code wrong. I've now added it correctly with no error messages. Banner still appears on all pages though...
did you refresh your page or a forced refresh - ctrl plus F5 on your keyboard
Or go into your Theme editor and find design and insert it there
If you haven't done so, you'll need to set up a static home page, and place the banner there.
This training covers it: How To Set Up a Static Home Page or Landing Page vs Default Blog Roll If that doesn't work, it may just be an issue with your theme, and you might want to look at others.

Thank you for the advice. I watched the video and set up my homepage accordingly. I think it might be a theme issue

In the URL field place a #
That should make it just be a menu item with no clickable link.
Thanks for the response. Could you explain this in a little more detail?
Log into your site dashboard and navigate to Appearance > Menus. Click on your About tab and change the URL field to a pound symbol. Save your changes.
Unfortunately I don't have this option (see screenshot)
Create a custom menu item with s # in the URL field. Here's a screenshot of mine on one of my sites. Notice the css codes too. This makes it non-clickable.
Perfect! Thanks
