Did I Stop 3 Feet From Gold? Who Knows.
Full disclosure here, I'm writing this post out of confusion, frustration, and maybe happiness all at the same time.
It's a mixture of feelings.
I started a website back in 2021.
I wrote 20 post and then stopped. I had a lot going on. Moved long distance twice. Had a newborn at the same time, so, I just completely stopped - for like 2 years...
Here's The Harsh Truth.
The harsh truth is I never checked that website again - for 2 years.
Well because, Google Analytics said I wasn't getting any traffic. So, I relied on that.
Was so frustrated realizing how many mistakes that I made previously that I could not bring myself to giving this another try.
The new website that I'm referring to is in the MMO niche, so the doubt set in that I couldn't compete and yada, yada, yada.
When I started this website, I didn't name it with keywords, or nothing that had to do with really anything. it was just a saying I loved...
I literally named the website out of frustration, which apparently people love.
I also just started writing my thoughts out of frustration. And I never placed any affiliate links on the websites. Just pure information.
Recently I Went Back To The Drawing Board
Okay, so yesterday, I was thinking long and hard about trashing the website.
So, I started checking my rankings with the Moz bar tool - the site rank seems to be growing - with only 20 post - and without me putting any effort into it.
I also never shared the website, therefore I do not have social buttons on the website. I never asked for comments on the website, nothing. I honestly was hopping no one ever saw it...LOL.
Because again it was doubt.
After checking Google search console and Google Analytics - according to them there was very little traffic to basically none coming to it.
So, that almost made me confirm that YEP I should just trash it. No one is even visiting or reading the articles.
I was able to check my traffic stats with my provider, and according to them the website was getting traffic. Even while I completely stopped working on it. My biggest day was 476 visitors.
WOW....
Did I Stop 3 Feet From Gold?
How is this possible with only 20 post. They are all in the MMO niche?
So, this shocked me even more.
I was so shocked that I had to ask my provider if the numbers were real. According to them they are - and they're unique visitors - and are not combined visits.
After dealing with them, I proceeded to check my blogs email and comments.
I was shocked once again.
They Said I Had No Traffic
Remember, I said according to Google Analytics and Google Search Console, the website was barely getting traffic.
In fact, some days my GA would say I had no traffic at all. And yes my codes are all installed correctly.
Not only did the hosting provider say it was getting traffic, but, the comments and emails that were left for me is more proof that, YES the website was actually getting traffic - and apparently it still is.
Now, I feel extremely bad - I let a lot of people down.
There were only 26 comments but, email galore. It was about 440 emails. Some were trash, so were spam, others were legit.
It was so many emails - it would take me days to go through them all.
Plus people were thanking me for providing free great, value. They asked me for review updates, and to keep posting on the blog.
I mean it was almost like I hit a jack pot - but, guess what?
I had to stopped blogging.
Basically, according to the comments they love the website, and its post.
Plus, I had emails where people were asking directly what do I promote?
I have other bloggers linking to it. Asking me to link to them.
I've been asked to sell ad space on the website.
And some guy name Larry Kim with 220k followers wants me to link to his post within my articles and supposedly, he'll share my article to his huge followings.
At this time I haven't responded.
Either way, the list just goes on and on.
More Shocking News
Fast forward to today, I had a company, Motion Invest - I have no clue if they're legit.
They reached out to me and asked me, "Am I interested in selling my website?"
I never thought about selling the website, but, now it makes me wonder why would they even consider buying a website, that makes no profit?
I had no afifliate links on the website, so of course it would not have made any profits.
What are the Pros And Cons of selling a website...
I mean I feel so overwhelmed, confused, and frustrated that I almost feel like I'm being scammed....LOL.
Thank you for reading my rant, I can only assume at the end of the day - what I was doing was working.
Have a great day you all.
Any comments or feedback is always appreciated.

Only you can decide to sell the website or not. If you sell it, how much will you get( I don’t want to know) , if you keep it will you work on it.
All the training is at WA , you just need to action it. It’s up to you.
Yeah, you're right; ultimately, it's my decision. Thank you for bringing up those great points; it helps me think about the situation more level-headedly. And you're absolutely right, I do have a lot of resources here—taking action now.

This all sounds very interesting. And you sound like you’re smart enough to do the necessary research to keep moving forward. One thing I will offer, don’t lament what has passed that you cannot correct. I am rooting for your success in achieving what you are seeking.
