A good weekend :) Let life get in the way sometimes

Hi everyone! I hope everybody had a great weekend. I'm pleased to report that my weekend was great. Since starting at WA I've noticed I seem to be busy a lot, in a good way. Busy blogging, finding images, finding affiliates codes, participating in the community, trying to help others. Happily busy :)

This weekend I did some great life/work-at-home balancing and it felt really good. I consider my weekend Sunday and Monday because that's my fiance's actual days off from work. Those are the 2 days we get some awesome quality time in and I try to put work on the back burner. Sunday I got a wonderful surprise/early Christmas gift. My super sweet man took me to a local animal rescue and let me pick out the best furry present ever- A beautiful kitty I named Khaleesi :)

She's so adorable and frisky :) I love my new little companion! We spent the evening introducing her to us and her new home. After things quieted down I did some of my social media and came to WA. Played a little Grand theft auto 5, watched a movie-had a relaxing evening at home, my favorite kind of night.

Today I was feeling crafty and thought hey, my Khaleesi needs a castle. I did some research on the internet, found some awesome diy cat houses and thought I can do that. Umm.. I did in fact do it, just not as well as those crafty masters :) We constructed our own cardboard kitty condo complete with hanging fish. Our little addition loves it. She spent a fair amount of time checking it out and jumping in and out. After that she napped :)

It's not the fanciest palace in the land but she enjoys her new queendom :) Also, I'm apparently not as skilled at cutting cardboard as I thought I would be, lol.

After our little project and a yummy lunch, I set my sights back on work. Not sure why but apparently I was quite inspired because I wrote my longest blog yet, 1081 words. And it was post number 20 :) Feels like a bit of an achievement. With this new post I kept it simple and seemed to really write from my creative side, didn't add too many links, which I thought made it feel better. Maybe it's more the direction I should be taking my blogs. I'm not sure yet. Any one who wants to check it out and give me feedback feel free to visit http://plussizefashionistaguide.com/career-woman-office-wear-for-plus-size-women.

Once my post was published, I added it here and checked some notifications. Came up with some outfit ideas I am going to take pics of tomorrow to add to my long post, and decided to write this.

Sometimes we get caught so up in working and trying to figure all of this out that other things get swept aside. I say to my fellow WA fam, don't let this happen. There is a time for work and a time for play. Let this wondrous thing we call life get in the way sometimes, it's totally worth it. Even the simple things make some of your best memories.

Good advice for all of us.

Pat

Stacy, that kitty is adorable! And your kitty house turned out great! :)

Thanks Wendy. She loves it!

Congratulations on your new addition!!

Aw so cute and awesome. The castle is mean!! I'm just starting my productivity even though I've been a member for a few months. Exciting! Gonna go check out your site now :)

LOVE your site - it's so relevant and for a musician, I'm really unco when it comes to fashion. I need your tips :)

Thanks Lisa! I am glad you like the site and my awesome castle ;)

Sounds like you had a productive week. Great post as well. I love how you have the images for people just to click. Just curious to you have a Pinterest account?

Thank you! I do have a pinterest it is http://www.pinterest.com/psfashionista. I love pinterest, I can get stuck on there if I'm not careful looking at all the fashion :)

Awesome! just connected!

Great to hear your work / life balance story Stacy, and your site looks fantastic.

Con.

Thank you!

Hi Stacy.

Khaleesi - looks really cute. I like your ingenuity in designing her own den to explore.

I had a look at your site. It has really grown since I last looked at it. Well done.

One thing I would work on is your comments -. eg Finding your size. Rather than inviting them to ask a comment or question and then asking whether you've left anything out I would be more specific. " Have you found buying the right size easier online or in your local store? ' - (or something similar).

To keep saying please leave comments is unlikely to get you any (from anyone outside WA)

Beverley

Thank you Beverley she's a great little sweetheart :)

Thanks for checking out my site. I appreciate the feedback. I remember in the training about asking people what they think and to encourage comments, but I think you are right, maybe I'll try a new tactic. I don't want to get stuck in a rut doing the ending of every post the same way. I will probably work on that tomorrow, maybe change up a few of my endings.

hey that is really so good to hear, say my hello Khaleesi.. nice to see that you have worked a lot.. keep it up.. all the best.. :)

Thanks :) she has meowed a hello back, lol

Lol.. I heard that.. :D

good post good site but no woman in my sight to suggest your site.

:) Thanks for checking it out.
