When does my dog get older?
As with us dear people, so when it comes to dogs, we don’t like to think about their aging. Apart from a few gray hairs, there are not many other signs of aging in dogs, and your pet may not show them on the outside. Changes are likely to occur within as they approach the sunset of their age.
Like us, dogs age gradually and there is no specific age when they become “old” but they are usually considered to be older when they are between 5 and 9 years old. When your dog can be considered “of age” depends on what kind of dog you have, as small dogs usually live much longer than large breeds.
Even if your dog is getting old, you should give him as good a life as possible. With regular vet checkups, a little extra love and attention, and proper nutrition, you can still enjoy your healthy and happy pet.

What is it they say Lady... one doggy year equals about 7 human years I believe...
We all age and our canine companions are no different!
I find it heartbreaking that they can't live as long as we do, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this..
What we can do though is give them the best lives possible while they are with us my friend!!
We are fortunate that Huskies remain puppies until about 6 years old. Young or old, they are our babies.
