Where Do I Go From Here? Success I Can See It But I Can't Quite Reach It
Here I sit alone in thought watching my ranking number going up instead of down. Why because I am not doing anything. Whose fault is that? Mine and mine alone. I am sure that i am not the only one who has been here and i am sure that I will not be the last to sit and gather dust here.
I want, i truly want to reach success and each time I try it seems the bar gets moved. I know what I am doing wrong but i don't know how to correct it. I have lots of ideas, tons of ideas for websites and how to be helpful to and for others. great I start working on idea and of making a website, (no have not even made a website yet) and look at affiliate sites starting with my idea and the + affiliate in Google. Then nothing and I am stuck and don't know what to do next. I feel like a hamster on a wheel, round and round i go, faster and faster,working harder and harder but gaining no ground.
i see others that have great websites and many close to or perhaps making some spare change here and there. I know this site says i stated here in 2011 but in actually i was only here a brief time then but I have been here making an effort since march of 2014 and yet I am not growing.
Any ideas or suggestions on what i should do or change up so i can continue on the learning curve.

I skimmed most of the advice because I didn't want to repeat what someone else said. I think you are just feeling overwhelmed. Just follow the lessons and take one step at a time! People have been here long before you and I and have everything in place. Get a solid foundation laid and go from there. You'll be fine. ~ Debbi
Hi Diana - maybe you could PM a few successful people you are following and ask for help, perhaps the person who brought you into WA also, and ask for help from them to find affiliate programs in your niche.
Maybe you are like me and need to see what is ahead of you and what you are aiming for before building a site. I know everyone says there is always an affiliate program out there, but I like to see them and what commissions they offer before I jump in. That's just me.
Also, instead of saying you need help, please be specific and ask questions one at a time so you can resolve a problem and move ahead one step at a time. Hope this helps.
lol that is funny same name.... my grandson was the opposite born 5 days early weighing 11lb 12oz now three weeks old and is 13lbs ha ha he makes number 10 for me and now its just the twins to come in August.. you take care if I can help let me know

How funny, my daughter is actually a Catherine but she been Katie since before she was born. My middle daughter Mariah, had a 6 month preemie last April. She was born weighing 2lbs 2 ozs and now she is 17lbs at 11 months old yesterday. So far fingers crossed she is right on for age appriate development. She is working on learning how to walk.
Glad to hear your daughter and grandson are doing well, prayers that all continue to be so. I know my daughter and granddaughter are such a blessing.
You are better off working you WebSite and not worrying about the ranking on here. Best wishes for your success

Hey thanks guys. Guess I did miss the boat but I just did the doggie paddle over to the side of the boat. Now i am hanging on for dear life. I just got slapped with a few waves and dunked a few times but struggling to climb on board. Oh, almost forgot I have my life jacket on this time and some goggles so I can see.

the rank on here is not that important, it is how google is ranking you, we all have different rates of progression as well as successes with out websites it is something that needs constant feeding, going over content adding more, I joined a bit earlier than you and due to family emergency lost 2 months work time, however I am progressing and traffic is moving towards my site, look at other ways to improve.. here is a bit of training that might help you.

I've definitely been where you are and it wasn't until I actually started following through with the tasks in each lesson that I saw progress.
Kyle and Carson have given us this wonderful tool and if we're focused and motivated to follow their system it's simple and easy - because it's a step-by-step process.
I suggest that you pull out your calendar right now (or whatever planning tool you use) and mark down 4 days this week that'll be dedicated to completing an entire lesson (1 per day). You'll see once you do that and sit down to work on it, it'll take a lot faster than you'd expect. During that time, close your email and all other open tabs and set a countdown timer (that really works for me) that'll be your motivation to remain focused.

Hi there and thanks for your help and suggestions. I have more or less completed the first lesson to the point of making the website. I have actually gotten there several times and every time i get there and get an idea for a website. I go look at affiliate sites or possiblities and I cant find any affiliate sites, Even using the + affiliate site for Google. Or am i compeltey missing the boat and just need to make my website and the affiliate site information will appear out of nowhere.
I know i need content and lots of it and good great helpful content but if you have no clue where you might find affiliate sites tehn what and this keeps tripping me up.
I am going to take your advice and just make a website block out some time and make a website. I might need some help then as to where to find some affiliate links when i get my website up and get some content on it. I would at least feel like I was gaining and growing, not like that hamster stuck on the wheel going fast and working hard and not gaining a thing.

The course is set up to help you move forward in a functional, logical way. It doesn't really make sense to have an affiliate program if you have no website to speak of. Any by 'no website' I mean no quality content that'll keep your readership interested in reading...
So, in a very nice, sheepishly grinning sort of way, yes, I think you're missing the boat. All the affiliate stuff and whatnot IS in the lessons and will come with time.
In short Course 1 is all about building a foundation for your website, Course 2 is about taking your site to the next level, Course 3 is all about the money - that's where you'll start to incorporate ads and affiliate links, and Course 4 is about using social media to promote your site.
I was also kind of frustrated that it took me so long to get to the 'money making' part of the program, but the truth is when I finally settled on a niche that I was passionate about and excited to work with, I realized how much more important it was for me to build my site, create and publish content before I could even think about affiliate links...

Sounds like a cliche but it's all about the journey. The learning, the up's and downs is what it's all about.
Write a plan to give your business 'architecture' and then follow it and don't look back.
Find out what you have to do to bring value to the marketplace, get active - comment on other members websites get some ideas etc.
Just keep moving forward.
