Why a Harvard Education Could Become WorthLess.

AI (Artificial Intelligent) is quickly changing the way we educate ourselves, and the ability for someone to educate themselves on pretty much any topic.

If I want to learn about English Lit, as a year 1 student I can. If I want to learn about computer science, all 4 years I can. If I want to specialize and become great a particular topic, I can. All of this can be done through OpenAI and Bard, and this is just the start.

I guess this begs the question, "If we can educate ourselves more efficiently and with more accurate answers through AI, what is going to be the purpose of spending $20-50K per year on a University education?"

Is it for the social aspect? Is it so kids can go to frat parties, football games, and to take part in the extracurricular programs? If this is still necessary, will education still come at such a high price?

Times are changing, education is evolving, and the world of education and been turned on its head with the progress and availability of AI.

One of the standout features of the website where you can order essays is its roster of professional writers and academic experts. These individuals https://99papers.com/self-education/how-to-write-a-commentary-essay/ possess advanced degrees and specialize in various fields, ensuring that each piece of writing is not only meticulously researched but also tailored to meet specific academic requirements.

Good point you brought up here, Kyle. This is especially true for people or group of people with self-initiative. As for people who are, I think, by design, love to be spoon-fed, they'll still demand for university education like Harvard. And they will always be present in our world ecosystem. So, I think education systems like Harvard's won't cease to exist but rather weaken as time goes by.

There will still be demand, I agree. I think that the atmosphere of the University experience is what most kids these days attend for, outside of the education (as that is secondary). For self learners though, and those that may not be able to afford it they are going to be able to get educated with way more efficiency, and way more precision than ever through AI.

It is going to flatten the world in terms of education, make it more efficient than ever, and make it accessible to all (anyone with an internet connection).

Good evening My Great Family...am happy to communicate to you again hope you all well from homes and here in ...WA.. Community.
My Leader mine is short let the schools continue as usual but this extra Art work assist and make things easier to those who work on internet like us.
I Thank you...

Schools will march on, but they will have to change. There is going to be some significant disruption to the OLD education model in the coming years, and the "for profit" model is going to have radical headwinds in my opinion.

Honestly, I feel like the higher education route has lost its potency long before AI came on the scene. It's possible to learn just about anything from the internet, YouTube, etc. My own sons taught themselves coding by watching YouTube videos. Obviously, some careers will need higher education . . . no YouTube doctors, please, but the ability to learn is something that is more powerful than ever before.

I agree, in particular with the rate at which people are getting educated and passed through the system. They are churning out degrees faster than they ever have, and if EVERYONE has a degree it removes the value of it.

Personally when we hire, we don't care about education...we focus on what you know and we can quickly tell your level of knowledge when you start working for us.

People are going to be able to self educate quicker than ever, and become smarter than ever with the convent of AI.

So awesome to hear about your son's, that sort of learning is going to be how the next generation learn.

A large part of the benefits of higher education (university degree) is the socialization that occurs while there, along with the contacts that you make while attending. I believe this is especially important if you go to the top of the pile. Harvard, Yale, Oxford, etc.

No, I did not attend a location, at the top of the pile, but I did make contacts that I still have today. They did not pan out for business, for me, but they do for others.

My contact just became lifelong friends, and that is good.

That being said, I am amazed at what you were able to accomplish in the 6 or 7 minutes you had the AI become an English Lit professor.

Alex

I agree, it is the socialization, the clubs, the sports. But that is NOT the education component that most people are paying a large sum of money for, and the future opportunity that this is supposed to represent.

I agree there are lots of benefits to attending school, many! But the education component of it is going to be turned on its head and surely education costs have to start to come down drastically.

That would be a major bonus. I got screwed when I graduated. My student loan was set at 1% above prime. Unfortunately at that time prime was 13 1/4%. The following year it was below 8%, of course, the banks would not renegotiate the loan, because the original loan was guaranteed by the government. Any new loan would not be guaranteed.....It took me a long time to pay it back.
