Started using pinterest for almost 2 weeks.
I have started using pinterest for almost 2 weeks. Save others' pins and create some pins for my own blog.
I don't create a lot, usually 3 each time, about 3 times a week.
Today when I checked google analytics, I noticed there are some traffic from pinterest, 1-2 traffic from google search!
Pinterest: 11 followers. 182 monthly views!
Yay, I have made some progress in organic traffic. Not only traffic from WA family.
The things I need to fix:
1. The speed of my blog (Mobile version)
But I don't knwo how to speed that up. I have already removed some video links.
2. After reading a member's training about how to rank in the first page quickly, I am still really confused about how to speed up my website.
I hope that my blog can improve its ranking in Google. But I really don't know how, apart from blogging frequently.
And I will have more and more organic traffic next month.

I've been hearing good things about people having luck with Pinterest. I am excited to get going on that part. I'm glad you are seeing some traffic from it. Wish I could help you with the rest but I'm pretty new to this whole thing.

I started about two weeks ago as well with Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. I still have not figured out Instagram. It seems to be based on sending images or video or something. Not sure.
Anyway here are my two-week results from social media...

I don't know why three different facebook links are shown in my top referring traffic. Maybe someone else knows. As you can see, Twitter seems to be the best way to get referrals. Referrals mean they have actually visited my website.
To put into perspective just how important traffic is from social media, I have only had 46 visitors from Google search since I began building my website over 3 months ago despite having 97 indexed posts.
It's most definitely a waiting game with Google. In the meantime, all efforts should be made to get firmly entrenched into social media as we can't always count on Google to drive traffic.

I only have 14 -15 posts indexed.
May I know what 's your niche?
Do you think toys can work well in Twitter?
I think any niche will work well on twitter as long as you get involved in conversations about it.
