This morning I woke up and got this news.

Amazon has temporarily suspended the shipment of all items from independent merchants to its warehouses that are not medical supplies or “high-demand” products.

It will go through until April 5.

As my niche is toys, I think I will be affected as well.

Thanks so much for your news.

This is not true. Amazon is suspending shipments to its warehouses, not to customers. Fake news!

Curtis, if I can not send my products to the Amazon warehouse, how do they then get to my customers?

Amazon requires re-sellers to ship to their warehouses.

They are NOT selling direct to customers. Amazon ships that stocked product.

Do some research, it is not true.

Here is what Amazon actually said:

Read the article on the Covid-19 info. They are prioritizing some things but everything will ship.

I have sold on Amazon. I have had to ship to Amazon. Amazon has many different programs. You are simply in error. I don't need to research what I have had to do with Amazon.

Sorry Mel, Fake news. Read the article I provided.

You didn't provide an article. You provided a link to the U.S. Amazon blog full of articles. Thanks for the lack of specifics. This isn't even a U.S. issue. It's an issue with Amazon UK as reported by multiple new outlets in U.K to which there is NO response from Amazon as of yet. I am ending this discussion unless you have something specific from Amazon UK discrediting the multiple news reports. It would even be rational for Amazon to do that and make medical supplies and high volume items a priority. Amazon is now working to hire 100,000 new workers to meet demand. Whether its real or fake you have provided nothing in this regard.

Have a great day!

My reading of your supplied article from Amazon is that you are correct. Thanks.

He is right. They are suspending shipments into their warehouse of nonessential items. Items in their warehouse will continue to sell until gone. They're making way for important supplies as online ordering is overwhelming their supplies. If an Amazon seller wishes to box and ship their products themselves, they can.

But they're trying to help people to order essentials and not run out.
