Circus Life
Hi all,
I spent 20 years travelling and working in circuses all over Europe. I was an interloper.
Interlopers were not easily welcomed into a closed community. It took me years to train my brain into their mentality. They live, breathe and die as circus artists, everything is for their performance. Yes it's a glamorous job but the life is hard. The part the public doesn't see is the hard work behind the scenes to pull everything together in time for a 2-3 hour long show. The long hours spent training and perfecting their talents.
Also the happenings in the travels from town to town, from country to country, many stories are picked up along the way.
I would love to write a book of my experiences in the closed community of the circus world.
What I would love from you lovely people out there is to tell me what you would like to hear about my adventures and experiences, curiosity questions of the life of a flying trapeze artist, the King act of the circus world. I would appreciate pointers in what people would be interested in. It would help me alot, giving me views from people all over the world, in the writing of my book.
I hope to see many people interested to encourage me to write a book knowing people would like to read all about my experiences.

I guess everyone love circus, especially children, you could write something like an ebook, for children, circus for me is something magic.

Yes Jacqueline it is something magical. I'm writing about my travels but could also write a children's book, thank you, that's an idea.
EvEveryone loves the circus. Why do yo need to ask? If you want to wrwrite a book, why not write a blog that can form the basis of your chapters, or be able to test what areas people are most innterested. Get a following that can serve you to test ideas, ask reactions, be your first customers. Let me know when the big top goegoes up or the parade begins. I want to know the inside of the grgreatest show on earth.

Thank you for your view, yes I think I will set up a blog to get followers and see what people would like to hear about each of my chapters. It is such a fascinating world. I imagined most people love circus, it's such a magical place but like many things with negatives also. I will let you know once I have set it up.

That's great to know anything I write about circus life will be interesting. After many years in the circus world you begin to think things are normal and monotonous but when I tell my stories to people they are so intrigued. One of the main reasons I decided to write a book.
