Hey Kristin, you're off to a great start. Here's some of my thoughts about your site. It looks really nice, but I can't say that I like the home page too much. I'd much rather land on some content than having to click to see more. If you are going to be linking to more specific pages though it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

If you really like purple. Make the background white and the header text purple if possible. If not, I'd still try to make the purple a lighter color.

Is the font you use for your content bolded? Because it looks that way to me. Maybe to contrast with the darker bachground? I would unbold it or change it from some "heading" to "paragraph" font. This is where the lighter background will help. It makes it easier to read.

Last couple of things. :P Get rid of the "Default Widget" on the right side. I don't know if your theme will allow you to completely get rid of it. I would put "latest blog posts" or something like that there. Especially since you have a blog post, but no where to access it except on the bottom of the home page.

Then, if your theme will allow it, change the default page size from 1/2 to like 3/4 width content and 1/4 sidebar. That way your content will take up more of the page.

Hi Kristin, I think you have a really good framework to work with! I love the theme, colours and font you use.

Everything seems perfect to me, but there is two little things I noticed, First as people said, maybe the plain home page with a ''see more'' can confuse your visitor, it took me a few second to understand and notice the menu at the top.

Second thing is about your wordpress user, I think you should create a user with your name instead of ''Admin'' to make it more personal in comment answer and posts since the username will be seen by the reader.

Keep up the good work you are doing very well!

Hi. It looks like it will be a great site. Congrats on getting it up and running. I'm not sure if there's anyway you can make your header smaller? When I clicked on your website the first thing I saw was "See More". I thought, "But I've already clicked to get here, now I have to click again to see more?" Not sure if that will have an affect on your visitors.

I agree with @terenzia, the font was a little difficult to read. Not sure if you have the option to lighten your background colors and have black font? It would really make your content pop. On the other hand, I anticipate your site will include a lot of pictures, it seems like it will be a visual site. So see how the font looks as you add images.

It's obvious this will be a niche that your are passionate about, it comes through loud and clear in your post above. You should have no trouble writing regularly. I think you have a great idea here and I wish you all the best.

That is nice to so what you normally do for free, now as a business.

I went to your website and I like the site. I like the colour of the website and white font you used.

I am struggling to read the writing in blue because the colour is reflective. I think white and black fonts would do the job, just play around with the colours.

Your picture on the about me page is very beautiful I like it. The only thing is it looks cropped and another part was taken away. To make it look full, wrap text around it.

First off, welcome to WA! The community is definitely one of the best atractive elements of this site.
As for feedback, you might want to add a tab for your recent posts, or an archive, unless you're only planning on using pages for content. It's great that you found an area of interest that you enjoy and are passionate about, which is one of the more important things to keep in mind!
