The Epiphany

What’s up, Peeps!

I admit it. I’m a newbie and have been part of the online business game for just over a month now. And it has been a journey… a bit of a rollercoaster-ride-journey that began when I bumped into Chris Myles (a.k.a. ‘Benji’s Dad’) on YouTube. SHOUT OUT!!! ;D

So, I’m hangin’ out in New York with my family. We hiked all day and did the double-decker bustour thing. I was bagged.

During a downtime moment in the hotel after cruisin’ the streets, monuments, statues, indoor malls, outdoor markets, subways, stadiums, and everything else historical in NYC, I decided to check out what’s-the-word on YouTube and somehow on my sidebar I saw a ‘check this out link to a video called “Affiliate Marketing For Beginners 2018”. I soooooo didn't want to watch anything taxing or stressful during my downtime, but it caught my interest.

I’d heard of affiliate marketing and have long been interested in the possibilities that come with having an online business and the potential of a steady stream of passive income, but it all seemed so hard and untenable.

I clicked the link.

The video.

FIVE MINUTES AND TWENTY-THREE SECONDS OF VIDEO LATER, I’m like “Yo! I can do this. Hhmmmmm! Lemme check out another video…”

Lo and behold, that fateful night became a research event wrought with inspiration and the opening of my mind’s eye, and the doors to possible financial freedom??? I don’t like stress. I don’t like to be a slave to the system… any part of the system. And this night of YouTube surfing in the Benji’s Dad channel (as well as a few others resources) was phenomenally eye-opening and liberating. But, this was just the beginning.

Hooking Up

As soon as we got back home, I joined Wealthy Affiliate.

I began the training.

I BLEW through the early part of Training, Part 1 sponging information like a toddler. I mean GROWING FAST!!!

Learning Curve

But, then came the hurdles. The question of what would be my niche. The questions of my personal passions. The questions of the roads to take to pursue my passions. The questions of whether or not or how to monetize the roads of my passions pursued. WHAT THE HECK!!!

Nailed it! Decided on my niche. I’ll be reviewing and promoting wireless headphones. Started rolling along again and then D@%n IT!!! Momentum was again slowed by the website name and format. AHHHHHHH!!!

Nailed it! Figured out my website name and format. My website is http://bluetoothbodega.com/. Started rolling along again and then D@%n IT!!! How the heck do I post images… and where from legit???!!! AHHHHHHH!!!

Nailed it! Figured out the question of images. Started rolling along again and then D@%n IT!!! Now I have to broadcast through a bunch of different social media outlets???!!! AHHHHHHH!!!

The Community

You see a pattern here? Before I say the next piece, I first must say that my learning curve has been fun. That said, it was not all smooth sailing. Still, none of the tunnels were dark. There was always light because the tunnels were not so long and there were lamplighters. Check it out!

An enormously important discovery once I joined Wealthy Affiliate was that, contrary to my initial expectation, I was not going to be travelling this path alone. FOLKS???!!! I mean, beginning with Chris, people kept popping up from everywhere within the system to help get me up and running. To help me get past my hurdles. People with knowledge I didn’t have. People to affirm the quality of the work I have been doing. And knowledge is power!

Now is a very opportune moment to declare that I have known my power. I am still becoming acquainted with new personal powers. But, importantly, I never like to be solely in power. I’m the type of person who likes to share power with others with the knowledge that we all have our own natural abilities and aptitudes which when put together can produce awesome things.

The late, venerable Mother Teresa once said, “I can do things you cannot. You can do things I cannot. Together we can do great things!” This I believe. This fundamental idea is one of the key building blocks of my social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual foundation.

The lamplighters were there and are always there. I began to realize how important it is to deepen my network within the Wealthy Affiliate community which made my journey progressively easier, and ever hopeful.

Equilibrium

I’m at the place now where I’m proud of the learning I’ve gained, the ground I have covered, and my work which the world is going to see and be able to benefit from. I’m only a month in, so I know I’m not getting love from Google as yet. But, I’m pushing for it by patiently and intently continuing to build out my website bit-by-bit daily to see that authority, rank, and traffic start to rise.

Requiem

I ain’t goin’ lie, looking forward to seeing that first financial dividend in the next few months. Through Grace and Faith, by the turn of the year Bluetooth Bodega will be BANGIN’!!!

In the words of unassuming superhero Luke Cage: “Always forward!”
