Getting Traffic Through Kindle Books!?
Hey WA, today I want to share with you one great strategy that you can use to get traffic when your website is new and you don`t have visitors.
My website is also new, maybe 3 weeks old. And now I will tell you what I did to get traffic. The same thing you can do as well.
Amazon has a program called Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). It is Free. Basically, you can upload kindle books (ebooks) and sell them as you get royalties for this. By the way this is one of the ways I make around $1,000 online each month. It`s a great and easy way to make money. Please check my previous blog post „My First Dollar Online”, where I explain in more details about Amazon KDP.
Anyway, my website is about fitness. So I wrote a short ebook (3,500 words) and published it on Amazon. In the book I included the name of my website and the link to it, and also 2 affiliate links that direct people to my website where they can read a review of the product and eventually click the links and buy something.
Amazon KDP has an option that allows you to do a free promotion of your book for 5 days on every 3 months. So I did exactly that. I gave away my book for free. People could download it and read it on their computers or kindle devices. My book was downloaded 550 times (some books may reach 1000, 2000 copies and even more depending on the topic).
And I started getting free traffic every day. I still haven`t made a sale yet, but I`m very optimistic about that.
Even when the promotion is over, you can still get traffic because now your book will have a price and will sell. Another good strategy here that I can recommend is to put your kindle book at the minimum price which is $0.99. This way a lot of people will download your book. Of course you can increase the price, people will buy your book and you will get paid for that. But there won`t be so many people that will buy your book which means less visitors to your website.
So this is what I did to get free traffic to my website. Even though my website is new, this strategy is great for driving traffic to your website.

Well, to be honest, I`m not very familiar with this. But as far as I know, there are no restrictions here. You can be a publisher at Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing even though you are not accepted as an affiliate.
